48 hours to catch up on your backlog. What do you do?

You have exactly 48 hours to catch up on your backlog. Sleep/Food/Bodily needs do not factor. All of your unfinished games from your backlog become inaccessible after the 48 hour time period. The idea of this exercise is to pick and choose the games that you really want to play. You will most likely be unable to play all the games on your backlog so choose wisely.

I slow down time so I can complete every last one of them.

Spend the whole time sifting through them and end up playing nothing.

Terminate whoever or whatever is forcing me to do this.

I'd say "fuck it" and go get a new hobby.

Go about my life as usual.

If I had 48 free hours I'd much prefer the sleep/food/bodily functions option.

You have no idea how fucking amazing this sounds to me right now. It sounds like fucking heaven.

I've never had such a thing as a gaming backlog. If I don't play a game when it comes out, I'm likely never gonna play it. I got other things to spend time on, you know, like climbing trees and walking along abandoned railway lines. Sometimes jumping over fences, if I'm feeling particularly adventurous.

I burn the games.

Most likely, I would do it how I normally pick games from my backlog: randomly generate a number so the choice is out of my hands. Simple.

Most of my games are long ass RPGs that can't be completed in that time frame. So there is no picking. So I would hunt down the asshat that was threatening to kill all my games after 48 hours. Liam Neeson style.

I'll actually answer the question unlike most of these. Finish The Last of Us (15 hours) and then play through as much Fallout New Vegas as I can focusing on the quests and hopefully finish it.

Cus I'm not an idiot who buys games to have them sit there unplayed. The "Backlog" is the dumbest concept ever, i can't believe people continue to buy games if they own a bunch of games they'd like to play but haven't yet.

I'd throw my hands up in the air and take a nice long walk outside, or just play more pokemon x. Who can say?

I pick an open world game and marathon through it. Although I can't think of any open world games that want to play but haven't already.

I select the ones that have been on the list the longest, the ones that are considered classics and must plays, factor in how long it would take to beat them (howlongtobeat.com). I probably would only beat a few games (Less than 5) or I would just play Persona 4 instead.

Well call me an idiot cause I cant stop buying games. I have issues, I'm going with GTA San Andreas, haven't played in years, GTA V makes me nostalgic. If I have some weed and Dew ill be set all day. Then move on to the PS2 I just got one and I have about Twenty games to play.

Man, I love playing games, but I doubt I could handle playing for that long. These days it's rare for a game to captivate me longer than a couple of hours per sitting. The days of crazy hours of gaming is gone for me, minus a random reoccurrence from time to time.

Melt down all of the discs and inject them directly into my bloodstream.

play dark souls again, not beat it and continue life as usual.

While I'd like to think I would go back to Disgaea [insert entry in the series here] I would most likely end up trying to beat FTL or something on PS+ that I never gave a second thought.

Or, yeah, the logical "fail to make a decision" because there is a known time limit (e.g. fetal position for 48 hours due to the stress).

I only consider my console games when thinking about a backlog, because the Steam library goes far too deep. It's not something that really bothers me anymore, honestly.

It's more of a stop playing it due to losing interest, but would still like to finish it. For example, I bought Dragon's Dogma because it looked cool, but I lost interest after like 5 hours and other things I wanted to play came out so I got those, and by the time I wanted to play Dragon's Dogma again Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen was out, and it made me not want to play Dragon's Dogma anymore unless I bought Dark Arisen. So I will likely never play it again even though I kind of want to beat it.

Hell, I don't even need a 48-hour ultimatum; I do that pretty much every day!

Seriously though. Given a strict window of time before my backlog is inaccessible I'd just let the log burn. I don't play games to stress about deadlines.

I would fail miserably and not get a single game done.

Spend hours watching the GB guys playing games. Then get inspired to finally pop one in myself only to realize the time has passed.

But they're on sale, man! They're just so... cheap!

Pretty much any game that's in my backlog is only in my backlog because I can't complete it in a short amount of time so I put it off until I can commit to it better.

Figure out who the master of these arbitrary rules I'm being forced to abide by is and punch him.

Probably end up playing nothing since my backlog is way to big to finish it during my lifetime. I think I could finish one RPG and that would be all.
