Dear game developers,
In the future, please consider that a game system, one like the Nintendo DS, may be picked up by 4 year olds. Note that when you design a game, that it may come into the hands of a 4 year old. As such, in your saved game selection screen, it is typically not advisable to have the "Delete game button" look like the button you click to select that game. After all, for a child who cannot yet read, they may not realize that they are, in fact, deleting their dad's level 48 Puzzle Quest 2 character.
thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Joobz
PS. I have absolutely no desire to actually finish the game nor purchase any other game from the same game developer.

Got to agree with natetodamax here, allthough I like your way of crying over a lost savefile in a new way.
Also, why would a four year old play on a Nintendo DS?
" @captain_awesome: That's not something to blame the developers for. That would be like me buying a Ford vehicle, then getting mad at Ford when my friend crashes it into a tree. "At this point, I was like "BOOM"

" @natetodamax: If ford put a "Crash car into a tree" button right next to the ignition, one may start to think it's the manufacturer's fault. "
Alas, at this point, it was
BOOM
You guys are underestimating 4 year olds their save file deleting ability. When I was 7 years old I finished zelda oot at the time it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me... AND THEN my little brother of 4 tried to copy my file so he could play as adult link the problem is.. He couldn't do Shit and so of course he deleted my file I was not ... very happy And it is something I will never forget or forgive him about
What the hell is wrong with four year olds playing a DS? Are you all crazy? Everyone plays games at 4!
Anyways, I feel bad for you OP.
joobz, I will cry for you tonight. What has happened to you should happen to no man. I'm so sorry for your loss.
" Not the developer's fault for you not paying attention to your child! "Got a point.
Sucks man. You'll feel better in a few weeks.
If you liked a game enough to play it that much, I don't think the developer is concerned you'll forgo their future games because a saved game got deleted. It would be like playing Dragon Age for 70 hours, loving it, losing your save game, and then not buying Dragon Age II. Nonsensical.
Devs have a hard enough time developing games for people who can't figure out how buttons works, you're really putting the screws to them if they have to design for people who can't read.

"This person has never lived with young children around video games. I have had the same problems as the OP when my siblings were only 3.
" @HellBrendy said:I have and I agree with him. If they are younger than 6 years old, they aren't getting near my save file. They can play some Mario." " @natetodamax: I guess you never experienced someone deleting your save game? A save game in which you have put in hours DAYS of your precious life and if someone deletes that file.... A piece of your soul dies with it. "that's why gamers are stereotyped as loners...
they don't want anyone to touch their saves.
