It is kind of odd the general lack of mainstream influence 4chan has compared to 2chan. The biggest oddity being 4chan seems to live off references and memes that it somehow injects into randomly places like Oprah. 2chan is a much more known and accepted forum for discussion, albeit can be easily stirred. Pretty sure the Capcom domain was recently temporarily banned from 2chan because someone within there was posting rather racially charged comments on 2chan regarding the political discussion of whether the proposed law allowing full naturalization of foreign immigrants should be allowed or not.
