I'm going to be picking myself up a Slim soon and I just wanted to know would the 120gb  be enough space for me or should I spend the extra cash and get the 250gb. Money doesn't grow on trees for me though I could get either system I'd like to take the extra cash and get some games. But if it's worth it to pick up the 250gb I'll do so.

Thanks in advanced for any help.

I suggest you plant a money tree, so you can start growing some money.

120GB will be enough, just get some games with the extra cash.

Unless you plan to download every demo on PSN, 120gb is plenty to handle any manditory game installs.

It depends. I have the original 40gb and while I do have to delete some old game installs it's enough space for me along with my 4 gbs of music and maybe over 2 gbs of videos. For you it depends on will you be putting loads of music and videos and pictures on it. Are you just going to be playing games?

Go with the 120gb

Yeah I'll just be gaming on it. My PC is about 2 feet away from me all I have to do is hit a button on my monitor and it gos to the PC's DVI channel and I could just load up Itunes from there.
But I think I'll get the 120gb thanks for you input guys.

@Rebirth1337: First off, fix your avatar, that flag is backwards. stars always go on the upper left. even when facing down.

second, 120g is plenty. if you run out, you can use an external USB hard drive.

if you plan to use it as a media center get the 250 version, if you are gonna use it  for gmaes and a movie once in a while and music the 120 is the way to go. i have the fat 80 g model and i could use 40 more giga. although i have 40 gb free (i lwant to have free space)

You can always upgrade later to a larger harddrive if you need more space.  Just search newegg.com for 2.5" SATA hard drives.

Well I'm on 40GB and I'm constantly having to delete things to install new games and get annoying so I asked Santa for a 320GB hard drive : D

120gb is good enough. If you really need more space later on, buy a larger HDD and swap it yourself. They are super cheap and getting cheaper everyday.

I swapped out my 60GB for a 250GB not too long ago. Personally, it feels like overkill. 120 should be fine.

The 120GB, which is the standard now I think, should be more than enough. If you need to upgrade in the future just use a USB hard drive. I dunno if you can swap out the hard drive in the slims like you can in the older fat model, which i what I have. If you can I suggest doing that because it's the cheaper way to go.

Yea like everyone else said, 120 is more than enough.  I've played a bunch of games, have a bunch of demos, PSN games and a bit of music and have way more than 75% left of an 80 gig, I also delete some of the installed games I no longer have, but it wasn't necessary, just to get a bit more memory.  But it all depends how much stuff you put on it and how your going to use it.

This is a very helpful thread, I don't own a PS3 but I'm going to keep this in mind for when I find some gold buried in my garden and become rich... or you know find a few hundred dollars.

You'll have plenty of space if you go with the 120gb one.

I have a 80 GB hard disk and 19 disk games and around 7 downloaded games, and I have 25GB left, if that's any reference.  Besides, if you're not currently playing a game, you can always uninstall it.

Better than the 20 gig in my 360.

also if you're that concerned about space you can get a 320gig hard drive for around  $55

A 20 gig 360 one is 40 bucks... you do the math.

Just get the cheapest model (whichever that is, I can't be arsed to check). For less than $100 you can go out and buy a 500 gig drive and swap it in.
