a way to add a permanent Ryan memorial to the site?

I love all the Ryan videos on the front page, but at some point they are all going to be displaced by current video game news, reviews, and whatnot. I wonder if the site could have some sort of Ryan Davis memorial link or header that would link to all of the sort of content that has been making the rounds over the last few days. At some point there will be new readers of the site that wont know who Ryan is, I donno if I want to live in that world.

Sure, I would like that. Put a link somewhere on top, and then move it to the bottom at some point.

There should be a some type of plaque on the header in memory of him perhaps in the shape of MODOK?

A Ryan Davis archive section seems like an excellent idea.

Definitely some kind of content collection or archive section, but I also like the idea of adding a commemorative icon or plaque or something on the layout itself. Maybe up by the logo. I'm sure the guys will come up with something though. Ryan has been to important to this site for him just to quietly disappear after the mourning period.

He should be the loading icon.

Make it the smiling Ryan from the front page and put it in Johnny V's place (I know he's a loading icon somewhere on the site).

Also, how about giving The Bomb a beard?

How about a section in the videos tab? It would be simple and easy to find, just combine it with TANG

I don't think a "Permanent" memorial is something I want. But if every year, for the month of July they removed the colors from the site and just made it black, white and grey I think that might be a 'nice' ( as nice as it can be ) reminder.

I think the guys said something about it on the podcast, but I like the idea of a 3rd site skin that's all "baller time" themed.

I don't think there should be a permanent memorial section on the site. If they want to do like a yearly tribute or something that's one thing, but a constant reminder that the man is dead gets pretty morbid after a while.

Theres Andre the Giant sitting pretty at the top left of the screen. Always. For non-members at least but same point.

I might make something like that at least as something we can pin to the boards. I'll think about what we can do that's appropriate. Or appropriately stupid.

@everettescott: A silly little icon on the site is one thing. An entire section of the site is another.

They should just insert his face into random frames on every video they post.

I dunno whether I personally like this idea or not. It sounds cool but seeing his face whenever something loads on the site will make me sad.

As soon as I read the thread title, I could only think of one thing.

I think it should be one of the guys from this image, somewhere down in the bottom area of the page. Like, down in the bottom right, the last thing you see. Grinnin' and truckin' on away.

I think it would be pretty good.
