What does your achievement page say your favored genre and theme is and do you agree with it?

Mine says I favor the platformer genre and my favored theme is comedy. I agree with it and do enjoy comedy and platforming games above others.

Action-Adventure and Sci-Fi for me, that kind of sounds right. Action-Adventure is a pretty ill-defined term, and I'd struggle to pin down where my greatest preference for genre lies.

Role-Playing and Fantasy, couldn't have been more spot-on!

#4 Posted by ZenaxPure (2569 posts) -

Action and Sci-Fi. I dunno, this is probably due to me putting off too many RPG purchases this gen (since that is my true favorite) and buying too many of whatever classifies as Sci-Fi

Actually it's somewhat weird as I hate Sci-Fi and the only thing I can think of that is true Sci-Fi I have played recently is the Mass Effect series.

Action and Sci-Fi. I don't really care for Sci-Fi...

#6 Posted by Ketchupp (672 posts) -

I like Sci-Fi Action games. Sure. Why not?

Favored Genre: Fighting

Favored Theme: Martial Arts

I think both are inaccurate.

#8 Posted by FreakAche (2953 posts) -

Genre: Action

Theme: Sci-fi

Sure. That sounds about right.

#9 Posted by mazik765 (2315 posts) -

Genre: Role-playing

Theme: Fantasy.

Seems right to me.

#10 Posted by Kyelb22 (297 posts) -

Action Sci-Fi. I think I'm starting to notice a trend here...

#11 Posted by Shirogane (3569 posts) -

Action Fantasy.

Eh........i guess?

#12 Posted by Zella (731 posts) -

Action-Adventure and Sci-Fi, I would disagree with the latter.

#13 Posted by TobbRobb (4603 posts) -

Action Adventure and Sci Fi... lol.

Why are there no Pie charts for Steam? I haven't touched my 360 in aaaaages.

There's a pie chart for Steam. Just look on the left side of the page and click the tab with your Steam profile. Sometimes it doesn't load though, but a few refreshes will get it to pop up eventually.
#15 Posted by ajamafalous (11963 posts) -

WoW broke mine, haven't had my 360 hooked up in about 3 years, and Steam doesn't have a genre/theme stat.

So, that's cool I guess.

First-Person Shooter and Martial Arts.

not sure about FPS, but i do love me some martial arts

#17 Posted by TobbRobb (4603 posts) -

@wolf_blitzer85: Yeah I noticed after a few tries, weird. Still says Action SCi FI, which is as general as it could possibly get. I like both genres, but I like a lot of genres....

#18 Posted by Captain_Insano (1535 posts) -

Action Sci-Fi too.

Depends what they class as 'sci-fi'. Looking at my actual game list games like Mass Effect would influence the list but that's it really. I wonder though if games like the Assassin's Creed ones, Fallout (likely), Gears (der) have impacted this list.

FPS and Modern Military

I guess... if you call Just Cause 2 Modern Military.

#20 Posted by LiquidPrince (15915 posts) -

Action adventure + Sci-fi. Sure.

#21 Posted by Masha2932 (1241 posts) -

Trophies only show stats, no genres or themes :-(

#22 Posted by ShadowConqueror (3050 posts) -

Action-adventure and Sci-fi. Not too far off, but I think I'm more of an RPG and Fantasy guy.

#23 Posted by Codeacious (960 posts) -

Action and fantasy. That's... pretty spot on.

#24 Posted by SaturdayNightSpecials (2373 posts) -

Action, sci-fi.

Hey, so I like video games. Thanks, Giant Bomb.

#25 Posted by TheMasterDS (2052 posts) -

Action Sci-Fi.

#26 Posted by huntad (1931 posts) -

None.

#27 Posted by ImmortalSaiyan (4676 posts) -

It seems action and Sci-Fi are common and is my result. I even think I played many sci-fi games and action is so broad a term.

Favored Genre: MMORPG

Favored Theme: Fantasy

1 year ago this probably would've been true when I could easily spend double digits playing WoW every day.

#29 Edited by Sanj (2374 posts) -

Actually, it doesn't say for me. :P

To be honest I'm not sure what my favourite genre is. I do enjoy platformers a lot in general, but some of my favourite games are RPGs. However, I'm not sure I wouldn't call RPGs my favourite genre as there's only a very select few which I play. Also, I do really like action games as well, e.g. Uncharted, Bayonetta etc.

Bah, I can't really pin-point it.

#30 Posted by Winternet (8014 posts) -

It doesn't show on mine. Why is that?

#31 Posted by DystopiaX (5301 posts) -

FPS, Sci fi.

Sounds about right.

Platformer and comedy..

BANJO-KAZOOIE MO FO!

#33 Posted by WarlordPayne (700 posts) -

Shooter and Fantasy, seems like an odd set to be paired together.  I guess Fantasy is probably correct, but Shooter definitely isn't my favorite genre, it's just the most prolific.

#34 Posted by ToxicFruit (1717 posts) -

MMORPG and Fantasy. Well they got the theme right the mmo part must be from all the wow i played , that's kinda impressive

#35 Posted by ZeForgotten (10397 posts) -

Action-Adventure and Sci-Fi.. spot on

#36 Posted by Rekt_Hed (848 posts) -

Action adventure + Sci-fi. ....yep that sounds about right. If I'm gonna be adventuring it might as well be in space :)

#37 Posted by Rekt_Hed (848 posts) -

....wait just did a refresh on my achievements and now im apprantly Action adventure + Comedy! Looks like that S rank for Saints Row and Iron Bridgade just tipped the scales some :P

#38 Posted by Seedofpower (3928 posts) -

RPG and Sci-fi. Granted I do like an RPG but I think I would rank RTS as my favorite.

#39 Posted by mnzy (2914 posts) -

Mine is Strategy and Fantasy. I don't have a single RTS on my list, don't know how that works.

#40 Posted by Draugen (640 posts) -

Soccer and Management.

Didn't see that coming.

#41 Posted by Atlas (2436 posts) -

Role-playing and fantasy. Absolutely correct. So much Oblivion and Dragon Age...

#42 Posted by Gamer_152 (14072 posts) -

Action/Sci-fi. Yup, sounds about right.

First person shooter and sci-fi.

Well, that makes sense. It's pretty accurate, though I've been playing more of other things lately. I'm going to assume that the second thing on that list would be "RPG-fantasy".

Guess that makes you unique, thus far.

#44 Posted by Cloudenvy (5891 posts) -

Action and sci-fi.

I can deal with that.

#45 Posted by mscupcakes (612 posts) -

Action and Sci-Fi for me!

#46 Posted by Bwast (1342 posts) -

FPS and modern military.

My brother plays the Xbox mostly.

#47 Posted by FateOfNever (1830 posts) -

MMORPG and Fantasy. Eh, makes sense.

I find it far more interesting to learn though that the last time I played Dead Rising and Devil May Cry 4 was January 1st 1753 though.

I also saw several games that I really should go and S rank; being just one or two achievements away.

Same here. I'm guessing it's the most common answer in this thread.

Fantasy MMO because I have 11 000 hours on World of Warcraft.
