Hey all, so I just finished up the Witcher 2 after putting it aside for a number of months and I was hoping to find another great story driven game (I know, don't we all). Since these RPG/fantasy games tend to have a somewhat niche following, I figured I'd throw it out to the forums for some help.

To assist, here are some other games I've played to give an idea of what I'm looking for:

  • The Witcher
  • Baldur's Gate I and II
  • TES 3,4,and 5
  • The Fallouts
  • The Stalkers

Thanks y'all!

I'd go for Dark Souls. Stay away from Dragon Age, as you've already played the Baldur's Gate games, which are incalculably better.

Edit: There's not much of a story to Dark Souls other than what you create for it, but holy shit is the atmosphere of that game awesome.

If you have played The Witcher 2. Witcher 1 is unplayable.

Fallouts are a safe choice

If you're okay with reading novel-length fantastic story while playing a mediocre RPG play Planescape: Torment.

Based on what you've played I would recommend either Planescape:Torment or Neverwinter Nights 2 (preferably with its much improved expansion pack Mask of the Betrayer).
