After Citadel

 When you first become a Spectre and leave the citadel how do you know where to go?  I know I need to find the Liara dig site somewhere in Artemis Tau Cluster.....but there are ALOT of areas to explore in this cluster and driving around for a long time in this mako really sucks.  How are you suppose to know where to go exactly?  I don't want to use a guide......I'm simply asking how are we expected to know where to go next exactly?

the liara digsite level is just a long winding path.... you cannot go in the wrong direction. 
 
It also tells you which planet in your mission log.

As far as I remember the mission text told you exactly where to go down the planet and if I didnt it was always marked for me on the map by having the name constantly there so you know exactly what to click on. Once you get to the planet ive always had it marked on the map for me so you just put a marker and go.
