Aliens vs. Predator Tops The UK Games Charts At No. 1

Kinda surprising considering the mixed reception its received from reviewers. It even outsold Bioshock 2.

I guess Rebellion are safe for a while lol.

 Holy crap!

Let it never be said that the Aliens vs. Predator franchise is irrelevant. There was some doubt to whether or not AvP would have the brand recognition to still succeed in this day and age, but Rebellion's interspecies brawler has debuted at number one in the UK. That's ridiculously surprising.

AvP has overtake Just Dance, BioShock 2, New Super Mario Bros. and more. It's just a shame that the game disappointed me, which means I can't be happy about seeing my favorite sci-fi monsters at the top of the chart. Now I want to kill myself. If Sega ever sees fit to patch the game and make it fun, I'll be happy to celebrate. Until then, I will just sit and cut myself with a screwdriver while screaming into a puddle of my own filth.

whatever new game that comes out that week, it tops the charts. then the following week it drops off for whatever new release. its always like that in the UK

thats surprising seeing how poorly the game fared in the states.

Peppa Pig the game? Really? I'm done with this country. 
 
On a more positive note, hopefully the sales will be enough to ensure Colonial Marines gets made.

I'm glad for Rebellion. The more sales they make, the more resources they will have for their next game which means hopefully they can improve on their development style.

Did anything noteworthy come out the same week?  Beating nothing isn't all that impressive.
