Anybody else have a plan to get through your Pile of Shame?

And by Pile of Shame, I mean your pile of games you still need to play.

Mine is this: I cannot buy/request another game until I've beaten 2. I've tried this before and failed, but looking at my stack slowly grow is reinforcing my desire to do this consistantly. Maybe once I'm down to about 5 games left I'll change the rule to: Beat one game to buy/request one game.

Anybody else have a plan to get through your pile?

I have no pile, so no.

My list of games I still want to play is too long to note and I barely have enough money to get all the new games this Fall that I want to get.

All of my games just sit in a pile in the corner anyway. At least theyre alphabetized. I should really see if my Xbox turns on anymore

That should keep me busy until university starts again.

wow lot of those are terrible games

yeah i actually went back and started playing star wars unleashed and bioshock which i was able to beat last weekend. now im moving on to dragon quest on the ps2 and shadow of the colossus.

I don't have a pile of shame. I have played every game that I own, but I have certainly not beaten every game that I own, even some ones that I wish I had.

I thought this was gonna be about porn...

Summer just ended for me so I really can't keep up with my backlog anymore.

Usually by comparing them to games he already likes. Isn't that what most people do? Unless it's something quirky or creative, in which case you're kinda fucked :P. "

Demos/renting/playing at a friends house. There are plenty of ways to play a game without buying it. "

"Oh dear God, my to-be-played pile is freaking huge.  My plan of attack is thusly:  1) Get back my laptop when it's repaired, and buy a PS2 when I've got some extra dough. 2) Seperate out the games I haven't played, only played a bit, games I want to finish, and games I've played but want to get more achievements. 3) Seperate out THOSE stacks into systems and genres. 4) System by system, figure out a list of games to play with alternating genres, so I don't get sick of just firing through that one genre. 5) For laptop and DS games to be finished, take both whenever possible to slip in a few minutes of game time.  And don't even get me started on my to-be-read book pile.  I could go the next two years without finishing that stack... and it keeps growing.  But damn it, I love books and games! "
