That's the one thing I'm starting to see that everyone hates. There are some people that believe that if you have all caps then your voice is heard. I mean really? Do they actually believe this? If that's the truth then why are they being ignored more than me
Edit: Actually, why not just remove the CapsLock key all together from Keyboards and Laptops. I can honestly say that I haven't used that key for anything my entire life, not even once. It's a waste of space!
Indeed the caps lock is something that has been abused horribly in certain places around the internet but I don't think we really need a ban on all-caps here. I don't ever see anybody in the Giant Bomb forums genuinely using it in a serious manner and all caps can be used in a sort of satirical sense for a comedic effect and that use of it is fine by me.

You're giving the Caps lovers too much credit. None of them have an IQ high enough for them to figure out how :P
I remember the first time I asked someone why they were being an Idiot using caps for every sentence they would spit out. Replied "CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL"
I've never questioned it since and got that tattooed across my ribs.

Someone came up with something that sounded smart, about CD-keys that had all captalized letters. But CD-key thingy-programs from games usually just do it automatically (the all caps thing) when you're done writing in the CD-key. So now, there is really no use for it
YES, I THINK THAT CAPS SHOULD BE DISABLED IN FORUMS. A LOT OF TIMES WHEN I SEE A PERSON USE IN CAPS I DON'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AND IT CAN BE ANNOYING TO READ.
it feels like something that is very immature to use with every single time. the only time i think a person should use caps is when they are brevetting something. like ABC or CNN.
Whoever started the "capslock is the same as yelling and is considered rude" phenomena needs to be dragged into the street and shot three times in the leg and left to bleed to death. I prefer to write with caps on because it is easier for me to see mistakes in whatever message I am sending and correct them. I also prefer to read all caps from others, its just easier on my eyes. But sadly people have had this burned into their head that they should take offense to all capital letters since the days of dial-up. What really burns me is that all caps is looked down on, yet constant mispelling of really easy words, or even "shorthand" or "leet" styles of typing are rarely pointed out and if they are the person pointing out the grammical error is usually the one that gets flamed with the most common retort of " dude its just the internet, don't be so serious"
Just because they are using caps doesn't mean they are actually yelling and hurting your ears or suprising you. If you get rid of that, maybe you should get rid of wall of text, making ppl use more paragraphs, or get rid of ppl using smiles like this :D
