What I don't get is why they don't do this. I mean a PSN download service is just asking for something like this. FF7, FF8 and Chrono Cross. I understand that its probably an April Fools joke but I'm just wondering why they didn't do this for real.
Actually, I'm getting off in a few minutes since April 1 starts in 15 minutes over here on the east side... I'm not taking any risks... CNN will be my friend for 24 hours.
its mid afternoon over here, no one has tried to get me so far. I actually enjoy april fools on the internet, whilst some of the jokes are quite bad there are always a few that make me chuckle.
Conficker Virus is already inside systems, it just "activates" on April 1st, supposedly. Staying off the internet isn't going to help."
Finally, someone else who understands whats going on. If your first thought about virus and trojan security was reading the sensationalist news stories about this one particular version of Conficker over the past couple of weeks, then chances are you're already infected with a whole host of other malwares anyway. Surf away.
I didn't even know about this virus. Not that I care. I haven't had a virus in years. Fuck anti-virus software. Common sense and some know-how will get you through anything.
Nothin wrong with keeping a free, lightweight app like bit defender, just to be safe in that you didn't miss a process, file or registry entry. But yes, common sense is the best tool one can have. If you lack that, antivirus software won't do all that much for you, you'll mess your PC up in other ways.
I remember April Fool's Day on the internet last year, it was hell. Every website did some dumb joke (although I must admit Gamespot's was pretty funny). The worst part was every forum topic you clicked on was somebody making up some dumb news story, like "Halo announced for PS3". "April fools lol!" Eugh.
The best ones so far is The Next Metal Gear,Smash Bros EXTREME and Bathesda doubling the price of Horse Armor. Dragon Quest IX fake was amazing.Still nothing from Blizzard :(.
