I was looking at just pre-ordering the Last of Us through PSN instead of ordering it off amazon like I normally do and was wondering if its a steam kinda dealie where you pre-load it prior to release and then it unlocks for you to play it on release day or if it just gives you right to download on release day?

I was lucky and got a disc of this game earlier today, a friend of mine however purchased the pre-order from the playstation store and he said it only downloaded 147mbs or so. And yes, he's a PS+ member. He's also a stoner though so I take stuff he says with a grain of.. salt.

edit: bad typo!

No, you aren't able to pre-load games normally on PSN yet, unforunately. And as far as what you're friend told you Geirr, I pre-ordered the game the other day and he's probably talking about the theme it gives you right away to download for pre ordering.
