I really like WHERE this thread is GOING. It's so VAGUE that it can be construed in DIFFERENT ways.
Basically, no. I don't have a job per se, but I do have a steady amount of income coming in and since that happened, I don't really pirate. Once in a while, I'll get something, but it's so few and far between that I don't consider myself one.
Buying stuff has gotten pretty damn convenient and affordable in the past couple of years.

@winternet: Hizang comes on the Gaming Hub's mumble server, he's not coming back on GB, he tried to appeal his ban, doesn't want to be known under a new user name and it pretty content.
Spiritual successor I can kind of get behind but he has a long way to go yet. Not until we see a crazy poll like this a day will I even consider it.
Oh. You meant that kind of pirate. This thread is way less cool now. I don't really pirate games unless they're too old to get a copy of, or unreleased in America. I am pretty scummy about pirating movies though, if there's a movie I want to watch and it's not in theaters I don't even attempt legal methods unless it's indie. I also pirate comic books, but only if there's some problem that's keeping me from getting it at my store, and even then I usually buy it once I can. Unless it sucked. Also video game music, because in plenty of cases piracy is literally the only method of getting it. So yeah overall I'm pretty bad I guess.
Depends on what kinds of treasures I'm stealing if you know what I mean... That's only for games though. I pirate EVERYTHING else. Movies because they are too expensive and I watch too many of them and music because fuck the music industry. I buy vinyls from time to time though.
Not really, not anymore at least. I'm not going to pretend that I don't still have some of that stuff on my computer, but my days of actively infringing on international copyright law stopped when I got a bank account and a job. I'm sure that if the feds ever raided my computer they could probably still charge me for those Japanese Fire Emblem ROMs that I have.
I only pirate when I need to see a movie for school, and they only exist in a $40 criterion edition. I don't know why but when it comes to education I am cheap as hell.
I'm a pirate in a world where RIAA and MPAA got their ideas through congress. I put on LPs when my hipstery friends come over, I watch films with more respectable friends, I make music that shitty anti-piracy algorithms think is existing shit I've never heard.
In this world I'm a below minimum wage good guy wondering why my rich-ass friends with great jobs, academic backgrounds, huge homes and cars pirate like it was OCD.
When it comes to music, it is a little more complicated.. I used to pirate everything, but I just bought my first song ever legally on iTunes (Get Lucky by Daft Punk) and now I don't think I'll pirate music anymore.
When it comes to movies/TV shows, yes, all the time. Don't pay for cable and only see a few movies in theaters a year. :(
