5S is not enough of an upgrade to make me upgrade from the 5, and 5C is a downgrade.

Got a 5 and I'm happy with it. At this point they could have just released the 5C and not even bothered with the 5S to save on production costs. NFC might have convinced people to upgrade to the 5S, but I don't see anyone but the hardcore apple fans going for it now.

Now give me an iPad Mini with a 16x9 retina display, and then I'll get super excited. :D

I've never owned a smartphone and I was waiting for the 5 to drop to $99. I guess now I'll be getting the 5C instead since they are not even going to be offering the 5 anymore.

There's no way in hell the 5 is so bad that it NEEDS to be replaced. Unless you have a lot of disposable money, it's a dumb spending practise to change phones frequently. Hell, my main phone was the iphone 4 up until a month ago, and it still felt like a great phone.

Nope. I'm happy enough with my iPhone 5 that I don't feel compelled to pay $549+ for either a 5c or 5s.

No. Android is in a better place than iOS right now for phone use, and is getting there on tablet. I did not like iOS 7 after 2 months of beta usage on an iPad. I'll revisit the situation next year when I'm in the market for a new phone. Unless they revamp iOS' notifications and awful homescreen it will still be a no though.

and I could not go back to a 4" screen now either, it feels too cramped and sucks for browser usage.

It's definitely interesting to see iOS go 64-bit and the dual flash is a neat idea, I've always felt the LED flash on phones is pretty awful, and is it just me or does automatic flash fucking suck? I've never had a phone that doesn't use flash even if the room is fairly well lit, it happened on past iPhones and every other phone I've had. I just turn it off entirely now.

The 5C is a downgrade; cheaper casing, weighs more and it's thicker. It has slightly better battery life but it is not going to be worth changing.

No, I upgraded from a 4 to a 5 earlier this year. The 5s doesn't have anything super exciting.

I am perfectly happy using my LG Cosmo 2 for all my phone needs, thank you very much.

Have been using an iphone since the very first one and currently using the 5.

That being said, this will most likely be my last iphone. Should never have gotten the 5 to begin with.

Nope, I got in on the proper side of the two year cycle (5 vs 4S), and have no intention of ducking out early. The 5C is a downgrade and the 5S brings almost nothing to the table over the 5.
