Trauma Center: Second Opinion

"Do not attempt any of the operations of this game in real life." (p. 1)

Okami

"Warning: The Wii Remote wrist strap and Nunchuck cord can coil around the neck." (p.5)

House of the Dead: Overkill

(about the director's cut mode, rough translation since I don't have the english manual)
"Until you've beaten this mode, you are not allowed to discuss House of the Dead: OVERKILL on the internet."

Anyone got any more?

Haha, that Overkill one is fantastic.  This could be an epic thread, I wish I had something to contribute!

I particularly like the Okami and House of the Dead ones. I remember seeing a thread the other day someone posted about the Metal Gear Solid 4 manual having operating instructions for the Dualshocks analog sticks. Something a long the lines of use left thumb for left stick, use right thumb for right stick. Sorry to the person who created that topic I cant remember who you are.

Humorous yes, but incredibly sensible advice I would have been much better of knowing before hand :P I should read manuals more often.

Some older game manuals had some brilliant quotes. I can't remember any of them off the top of my head though :(.

The Fallout 2 Manual was standout, iirc. I may go dig it out at some point.

This thread has the potential for greatness!

I find it funny that some game manuals have a notes page at the back. Do they really expect me to make a list of notes as I read through the manual. Pointless.

There was the MGS4 manual (I think), the one that read "The best way to hold the controller is with your left thumb on the left stick, and your right thumb on the right stick."

Also, the old Crash Man vs. Clash Man conspiracy in that old Mega Man manual.

Originally them sections were for passwords, but since games don't have passwords anymore, I'd guess most people use them for cheat codes & things, although personally I've never used them for that.

I've used the notes section for one of my games recently. I wrote "Buy more beer." which at the time was true I needed more. I hope someone gets a good laugh if I end up selling that game with booklet :)

I love that House of the Dead one. As for original quotes, pretty much any Rockstar game has a great manual.

I can't believe I forgot that one. Birdo being transgender is the greatest thing in any game manual ever.

Also, not technically quotes, but some pretty funny stuff taken from the Japanese Wii safety manual
