Bad Company 2 broke my PS3.

I just got Bad Company 2 today for the ps3. I start up the single player campaign and not ten seconds into the opening I get a blank screen and a peculiar yellow light is where my green light is supposed to be on the Ps3. Was it just bad timing or did bad company 2 just give my ol' ps3 a heart attack?

Well it certainly didn't happen by chance, because that never happens.

I'd wager a bad timing. How old is your PS3, what model and how often do you use it?

After all, it is BAD company. I've would have expected something like this to happend. Nothing but bad can come from such a game. Awkey, todays most lame and dumb joke, DONE!
 
No but seriously, I am willing to bet you money it has nothing to do with the game.

It keeps having hiccups of activity when I keep it off for a while. It's a second gen big girl, I think. I use it every day. 
 
When it first went to black I was waiting for a screen to say "BUY IT ON XBOX!!!"

I bet it's Kotick's fault.  Probably something from an Activision download to prevent you from playing any shooter not named COD.

You people ruined it. This topic was supposed to die. Looks like it'll take a little longer then expected.

okay, if it works now i would recommend backing up your saves, though i think its just an overheating problem where do you keep it?

On top of my fireplace.....It all makes sense now.

It's never the games fault. Ever.

Wrap you PS3 in a towel and use a hairdryer to over heat it for 20mins. This will let you get the disk out and turn it on for a short period. (Dont know how or why this works, but has worked for so many people) 
 
But looks like you are going to hand this over to Sony for a full time fix.

ha, that sucks alot. it is bad timing, it is nothing else just the ps3 decided to break.

That sucks dude. But don't go blaming Bad Company 2. It's probably just a coincidence.
