What's your beef with Visceral? I haven't played it, but I heard Dante's Inferno was better than average. And I thought Dead Space was amazing,
With Dead Space it was a matter of the prerelease stuff and the lead up story stuff being far superior to the...lack of story in the game, which i also found to be repetitive and boring. Great UI though. Dante's Inferno, on the other hand, apart from being a cheap knock off of GoW (which is bad enough in its own right) was disrespectful to the source material in the extreme. An epic poem about Love and tragedy gets turned into that? It was also a pretty shitty game by any standards. All my own opinions, i grant you, but I feel rather strongly about certain things.
I don't hate any of them, but I'm not really fond of Infinity Ward or Bethesda. I was a huge Bethesda fan after playing hundreds of hours of Morrowind, but I didn't really like Oblivion or Fallout 3. I thought they could have done much better.
Square Enix for make the exact same JRPG every few years and having their cocks sucked for it. But I really dislike Tales of Tales for making absolute shit like The Path and Endless Forest and deflecting absolutely any criticism of the games by going on tirades about how they are art and that people who criticise them are philistines. Any interview or press I've seen with the studio owners is absolutely laborious to read, they seem like pretentious cunts.
I'll agree with Valve, specifically Half-Life 2. Something about the Source Engine irks me. Not entirely sure what it is but i never feel comfortable playing many games that use it (Left 4 Dead 2 and Alient Swarm being the exceptions currently though I still find the movement in L4D2 a bit odd).

Yea I like uT3 and the first Gears but epic is rather boring. I hate Valve for inventing the "float is only way" but thats because PC gamers and their mouse want it to be 1 to 1 which is good....and bad.

Have to go with Infinity Ward. How can a they follow COD4 something so atrocious as Modern Warfare 2? Like someone already said it's just full of really childish stuff and goes overboard on everything ie killstreaks. and then theres devs like bioware, valve, bungie and DICE which are awesome.
I only hate developers that make poor games sorry, Developers that try to evolve the medium regardless if I like the games they make or not is totally cool with me.
i don't like EA or epic games. EA made some good games but kind of milk their games. they come out with a lot of sequels for their games. epic games are just assholes, especially cliffy B. he pretty much said that all PC gamers are pirates.
Umm honestly I don't hate any major developer but I am a little frustrated with blizzard, I know Starcraft 2 is awesome etc etc but seriously did it need to take almost 12 years to come out? I admire them taking their time but anything more then 5 years to me seems silly and just slow. I just think as a company it'd be nice to play more of their games on consoles as well, I think its only a matter of time as they have dabbled in consoles before (diablo, starcraft and warcraft all making their appearences on the PS1 and N64).
Valve is another one thats a bit fustrating simply the whole L4D thing (You yanks and brits may be pissed off try being an aussie!). I seriously hope that we don't see L4D 3 till late or mid next year but to be fair I think they've learned their lesson, I just hope they input PROPER narrative in the 3rd L4D but I doubt it.
I guess really the only delevoper I could have some serious negative emotion towards to would be Rare, the way they've fallen off the wagon in terms of quality and buisness decisions is simply amazing I think their new company logo is a real statement of this, bland and simply forgetable and thats what rare has become which is a crying shame considering how good they used to be.
Even though I am a convert to the cult of Steam, I find Valve to be somewhat overrated as a developer. That's not to say I didn't like Half Life 2 or Left 4 Dead. (Even though HL2 is a straight line with two overly long vehicle sequences and a style of storytelling that really doesn't appeal to me, while L4D just... get's old.) It's just that I have trouble understanding when people rate them as some of the greatest games ever made. I guess that's not hate, but it is bewilderment, especially when it takes them 5 years to put out a game.
Square Enix however... is a developer that I dislike, and not just because I'm not the biggest fan of J-RPGs. Everything they have done for the past 10 years has been nothing more than exploitative fanservice. (note: Hyperbole)
Don't like Rockstar either. Maybe because all the kids I considered "bad" in middle school played the hell out of GTA. Or maybe because I don't like the way they make games.
I don't hate any developer, I may not like their games, but hating them? That's a little too much. For the sake of the topic however, I'll say Bungie. I really don't get the big deal about Halo.
