Even though Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse's Kickstarter never managed to reach the $1,000,000 stretch goal, to allow Revolution to make a sequel to the classic point and click adventure game Beneath a Steel Sky, they have gone ahead and announced they are going to work on it anyway.

Broken Sword 5's kickstarter actually beat my expectations and collected more than double the original goal to rake in over $800,000. With this, the developers can now "realise their wildest ambitions" for the next adventure into the life of George Stobbart - whatever that actually means. I can't wait to play it, and I'm glad the adventure game genre is slowly coming back. I hope it lives up to the originals in the franchise.

Yay for BASS 2.

Boo for disingenuous stretch goals.

They didn't raise enough money but they're making it anyway...?

@Funkydupe: It's a fascinating world we live in, but hey I'm not complaining.

Raising that much money probably meant they got outside funding for BASS 2.
