Best £800> tv for gaming

Hi there,
I'd like to splurge on a new tv for myself and my family, but i'm unsure of how to find the best value for money in terms of features for gaming. We currently use an 27 inch crt, and play x360 and ps3 on it, so i'd like something that can exploit the potential of both of these. My maximum budget is £800, though if there was a set with a dambusting feature for a few quid more then i'd stretch. Can anyone reccommend any?
