Honestly, mines a tie Between the Gears of War Mad World Trailer and the PS3 Universe of entertainment commercial. The mad world trailer becasue it pretty much epitimized the feeling of the game. Bleak, desperate, hopeless. it is a indeed a Mad world in Gears of war 1. And the Universe of Entertainment spot, because it made you pumped to own a PS3, whicn is the main goal of a Commercial, to get you pumped about the product.
I also liked the Wonderful world Ratchet and Clank Future Commercial.

Christ.... I love that song but using it in this context and for this particular game is pretty ridiculous.Think that the song would have worked well for games with maybe more depth and emotion but Prince of Persia?? Pffft.
You've probably already seen the bobbing motion control commercial for Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma, but this one made for the Japanese viewing audience is more entertaining I think. I'm not saying it's the best of this generation, but I think it deserves a mention for originality.
Commercials? People still watch those? Is this 1999, again?
I can't remember the last time I saw a commercial that wasn't something just posted on line for humor (like the slap chop stuff or something). It has been a few years, that's for sure.
