I can now see why people love fighting games afterI purchased Dragon Ball Raging Blast. I now want more fighting games, I torn between a few games though I really like DOA 2 on the Dreamcast ,but I can't find DOA 4 anywhere. I've never played Tekken so I might not like Tekken 6. Or I might get Soulcaliber 4. Which is the best?
Best fighting game on the 360
Dude, no... I don't think you really can see why people love fighting games (the hardcore community, at least) after you purchased Dragon Ball Raging Blast. Button mashing works in the games that you mentioned so it might not be so bad, but if you want to get good at them and actually beat people online, you have to learn the technicalities of them, which is not enjoyable for everyone.
The games you mentioned aren't at the same level as Tekken or Street Fighter. Soul Caliber maybe, but if you honestly want to be good at fighting games, you gotta be serious.
Just for reference, I suck at these games but I love Street Fighter IV.
" @Stang said:He is the one who is always posting under the SFIV forums. It is all because he hates it so." Tekken 6 is the best. Street Fighter IV is the worst. That game is for noobs. "@Aljosa15 said:" @Stang: Please tell me this is a joke post... "LOL. I think Stang was obviously joking with that statement. "
@Belonpopo: I say Street Fighter 4 is the best I've played. Though DoA4 is another quality one. I find it odd that you can't find it anywhere. I have 2 copies, so i would give you one, but one of mine (Not sure which) occasionally gets disk read errors when trying to go back to the main menu... Not fun.
Based on Raging Blast being your starting point, I'd recommend Soulcalibur IV for you since it has the most similar feel to the Dragon Ball games--even if Soulcalibur can't be taken seriously, it's still good for some dumb fun. However, if you're asking for the flat-out best fighting game for the 360, I'd go with Street Fighter IV.
I'm waiting out for an XBLA version of Turtles tournament fighters.... MEGA DRIVE version... obviously

Street Fighter IV is where all the big boys go to beat the shit out of each other. No other current popular fighting game comes close to the level of competitiveness found within the SFIV community. No offense, but Dragon Ball Z ain't where it's at, in fact it is where it isn't. Huh?
Come play some SF with us! I will even use somebody besides Ken :)
I'm pretty amazed that with all the hype surrounding Blazblue upon it's release that nobody has rushed to its defence as the best fighting game on the 360 yet....

"blazblue is amazing. it's truly fantastic, but it's for sure not user friendly. seriously, it's hard to tell what the hell is going on sometimes, hehe.
I love everything about BB other than the game itself... I tried so hard and whined about it in a blog for ages. It really just was not for me.
It seems everyone is jumping to conclusion that you want to play against people online in your fighting game. Well almost every fighting game online is shit. SFII HD Remix is okay at best, but it is still too laggy for real competition. As for my favorite fighting games on the platform: Single Player - Soul Calibur IV (It has a large amount of single player content and I am still unlocking gear for my custom character), Multiplayer - SFII HD Remix ( I enjoy it better than SF 4) , Miss Congeniality - DOA 4 (Probably my favorite fighting system, but the AI is more frustrating than DOA 2 and the online is laggy, plus what happened to the awesome survival mode from 2 - I mean I want one stage with zero load times between fights), Honorable Mention - UFC Undisputed 2009 (I enjoyed the character building mechanics, but if you can wait for the sequel then do so).
Anyone who likes Dead or Alive belongs in a coffin.
Fighting games are not comparable in that manner. Some people like Street Fighter, some like Tekken, some like MK, some like VF, some like MvC, and some like WWE All Stars.
I like them all but the only way to compare them is based on the feature set. I'm pretty sure that Mortal Kombat (the new one) would win because, based on the review, it has the most/best features. I was kind of joking about WWE All Stars but that is a good game.
