@ajamafalous: I play it with a controller, its fine. Setting it up can be a pain but that's true with most Valve games on PC.
Best FPS Out Right Now?
BF4 is 99% fixed and plays great. I play an hour or two most nights after work. As others have said, Wolfenstein is awesome. It's refreshing to play a stand alone single player game instead of jumping right into the multiplayer. I haven't played Call of Duty in a long time so can't really offer an opinion on where those stand.
Titanfall is new and very unique. It shows up on Origin game time every once in a while so you should try it out. It's also dropped in price on places like Amazon so it's pretty cheap. It's probably the best balanced multiplayer shooter I have ever played.
@conker: my friend said this game was amazing. they tried to make a fun game rather than trying to mimic the latest FPS and cramming it with unnecessary functions.
I don't know. I have 60 games in my backlog to get to and so many of them take forever to play through that I haven't played much since mid last year.
If I had to guess the answer is probably Wolfenstein. That game looks pretty cool. I'm dieing to get to it, but it's W so it will take forever! It's basically near the end of the list.
- Old School shooter? Quake Live
- Shooter with RPG elements? Far Cry 3 or Destiny
- Classic single player shooter? Wolfenstein The New Order
- Close Quarters Multiplayer? CoD Black ops 2, Titanfall, or CoD Ghost
- Long-range multiplayer? Battlefield 4
No one will agree with me I'm sure but if you are looking for something relatively new...
Titanfall
I will NEVER agree with you on this and I have also talked with everybody else, and I mean everybody, and I can confirm that they also don't agree with you.
I have never played Titanfall and I'm sure it might be a totally fine multiplayer shooter if that's your thing.
both metro games are some of the best fps games of last gen and the redux bundle is pretty cheap so that's worth picking up
I'll reiterate what others have said and recommend the new wolfenstien (My Goty so far) and Titanfall.
I've been playing through the original F.E.A.R. for the first time recently. It is repetitive as hell, but the I find the shooting gameplay to be excellent. Windows even break where you shoot them! That's something even CoD doesn't do properly. The game also does a really good job of giving the illusion of smart AI. You often see soldiers vaulting over railings or pulling down shelves to get it in your way. Not the best FPS, but worth a look.
