For years, Giant Bomb has had a prestigious award that goes to whoever they believe was the best new character from any video game released of a specific year. This time around, I thought of making a poll to who the community thinks is the best old character of 2016 is. The rules are really loose as I included old characters who are either featured in a game that came out in 2016 or are from an older game and that character's presence got really popular on Giant Bomb this year. Some of you may be wondering where Ten Count is if I'm letting characters from old games compete. Ten Count's debut was in the first Ranking the Fighters video in 2015, so therefore he can't compete. He's clearly 2015's best old character, however.
Yes I went crazy and included a bunch of choices, but it was worth it.
