5:00 pm japan time. That's like 6:00 am tomorrow, 3:00 am for the west coast. Maybe it's the price cut or an hour of kaz hirai just giving the finger to the vita.

Good to hear them doing this. Hopefully that means nothing Vita related will be talked about during the PS4 announcement.

I could definitely believe watching a hour of Hirai flipping off the Vita. I highly await seeing him finally being honest about their treatment of it.

Don't have a Vita but a "HD" version of FFX and XII could really loosen my pockets.

They'll release an update where you can use the Vita as a mirror in GT5.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is honestly all my Vita needs. I fucking love picking that up and doing a bunch of combos then putting it back to sleep. If only I could plug in my arcade stick.

It's also better than the PS3 version because it doesn't drop frames all the fucking time.

Still I hope the Vita gets some more support. So happy it's region free unlike that 3DS clusterfuck of a situation I'm going to dig myself into. (having to choose either buying a European 3DS and missing Japanese games or the other way around)

I've been contemplating picking up either a vita or a 3DS. I'm waiting to see what comes out of this press conference (or whatever they're calling this vita thing) before I make my decision.

The Vita handles fighting games really well. I haven't played UMVC but MK Vita and PlayStation All-Stars both feel way better on Vita then they do on consoles.

I DO have a vita, and I can say that this is all I really want, too.

Sad to say it - all I've done with my Vita has been to play PSP, PS1 games and Persona 4 Golden (which made it all worth it and then some).

For some reason all I need from this system is good games - even if those games are just updates of ones from the early 2000s. Heck, I think it's a fantastic system for RPGs in general, so maybe that's why I don't mind the lack of new IPs.

BUT if there is anything exciting and new shown in the event (32 mins now), I'd be coloured impressed.

If they finally drop the price to something reasonable, say $179, I'll pick one up. I have a bunch of free games for it from PS+ and I'm dying to play Persona 4 Golden. They also better drop the prices on the memory cards. Paying $100 for a 32GB stick should be illegal.

So based on some information that Greg Miller posted on Twitter, it sounds like most of the information that applies to US/EU Vita owners will happen on Wednesday with the rest of that announcement? Seems like that could make some sense as this is all Japan focused (obviously).

The dpad is really good, UMvC3 on PS3 (360 is fine) just constantly drops frames whenever you call an assist or do any high density projectile, friggin annoying in a game that is usually locked at 60.

I hope we get that Silver Vita. It looks great.

I would buy a red or blue vita in a heart beat if they came to the US.

That Soul Sacrifice Vita looked really nice. But none of the games, so far, have grabbed me.

Soul Sacrifice, God Eater 2, that Koei game... Sony is really trying to fill that MH hole, aren't they? Not very successfully, if I might add.

Meh, all of that was already known.

God Eater was an early, blatant attempt by Sony to get a Monster Hunter surrogate on their hardware after Capcom jumped ship for Nintendo. Soul Sacrifice and Toukiden are unproven new IPs.

15 seconds or so of FFX HD... I'm happy.

Again, not saying that it's a good thing that I'm happy - but I am.

Think of it this way: MH is like the COD of Japan and those other games are the Medal of Honors. Functionally they're decent, but also incredibly derivative cause they're all chasing that MH gravy train.

Well the jury's still out on Soul Sacrifice, but I have little faith in the other two.
