Boards should be broken down even further

The Site is awesome but the layout of the forums is a bit cluttered. I think the forums should be broken down alot further.

There's a forum for 'hamburgers' and you think the forums need breaking down further? Like one for lettuce, one for mayo?

Yeah I have to agree, this is the most broken down forum system in the universe

They should probably wait until more users sign up. Don't want to fragment the already small fanbase.

Yeah, I guess the General is just too popular. We should find somewhere cool to hang out.

Lol, i still think we need seperate UK, AU boards etc, so respective citizens can talk about their country with people from the same country.

the main index does it pretty well in my opinion.

It's kind of a "if you want it, you get it" system.  All that specific categorizing is still there.

Yeah, that would be cool. My favorite board on Gamespot is the UK board.

I wouldn't mind more overarching forums - to provide something more specific than general, but not as specific as, say, Master Chief.

Platform breakdown would do that - and/or region.

Hey Matty i know you from the UK board! Don't know if you remember me i posted there sometimes, i went by the user LeePearce at GS. They really need a UK forum here at GB so we can all reunite! I saw Caddy lurking around here earlier, thought i was the only UK user coming over :P

What is cool about talking with people of your own country? You can do that every day. Isn't it way more fun to connect with the world?

i think they should have consol specific boards.  not really region specific.  it breaks up the community aspect.

well...after looking at things i do agree that the forums are a bit dumbed down; just keeping discussions of all kinds in just one place and all...

the site did officially open today though (or was it yesterday?)...so i guess there's probably some things behind the scenes that they're probably working on.

Boards for different platforms sound appropriate, it's better than topics about every platform being posted in one forum, which tends to be General Discussion.

the thing is, when you go to a specific page for a game or concept or whatever, the forum looks really clean. But when you go to the overview of all forums it's just this cluttered mess. Then again, I'm sure the guys at Giant Bomb see the same issues we see.
