Totally worth it even at that cost. Plus you're literally paying a single guy who makes indie games. Not much goes to a faceless corporation so that $15 is appreciated.
I don't see what the big deal is the gameplay is like a bland Super Mario Bros you don't get to play around with the puzzles to much in the trial. I still don't see what the fuss is about its straight generic around the board in my opinion.

Like you said, you haven't really been able to try out the puzzles and those are the heart of the game. You shouldn't make opinions about lackluster trials. I'm not one to trust a lot of reviews but for this game I've already seen two perfect scores and an 8.8 plus achievement award from IGN.
I don't really care about scores, the game has to grab me and make me want to play it. On the surface its Super Persia Bros minus interesting enemies, catchy music but painting style backgrounds. I really don't see what all the fuss is about and even looking at videos of later gameplay it seems like more of what I'm doing now.
Not my style, but if you like it more power to you.

To each their own opinion, not that they're very valid reviewing sites, especially edge. I've heard nothing but good things about Braid though, if you're into a platformer with some interesting concepts. Is it worth the 1200 points? I guess thats up to player, I don't quite think so.
Only problem I have with it is the fact it has too much of a resemblance to Mario Brothers and Donkey Kong. Other than that, I liked the trial. Some interesting puzzles, you won't always do the obvious.

it's a parody, not a rip off. It has goombas, man eater plants, "but teh princess is in another castle", donkey kong ladders, etc.
Rip offs are copies, this game is very unqiue.
For the record, Braid and Castle Crashers are the only games so afar that Im considering buying off XBLA

I played the demo and while I thought it was cool, it's not a title I want to spend $15 on. I'll wait for a price drop, and if the price never comes down, then I'll never buy it.
I bought it and I think it's really cool. The art is amazing, it's like a painting you play. I didn't realize how pretty the game actually is. The game makes me think also, something pretty rare nowadays.
Wow, I don't think you needed to necessarily bring up this thread again, but by all means, further praise Braid. It is amazing and one of the best games of 2008. I am surprised there are still people out there that haven't experienced it yet, but you guys will...on PC and probably PSN sometime down the road.
