I lol'd at the games that 11 year old kid is playing there.
Reminds me of that FOX news thing where they bitched about that illegal Kinect porn-game that innocent children might play by accident. rofl
so fucking stupid.
Can you be a little TOO good at gaming?
Now: 1) Talk to some stranger over the internet 2) Give your information online 3) Unlock everything and have fun until you get banned by the corporation that made the game you bought.
I'm all for keeping cheaters away from those who want to play a video game against others on an even playing field, but this trend in this generation of consoles still irks me.
I wanted to post on this when I saw the update too. This wouldn't have been a story at all if the kid weren't autistic. There's an excuse for everything these days.
Also, people seemed to miss this part:
"The account Zombie Kill67 transferred from the Xbox it is normally seen on, to an Xbox in another city. The account earned several achievements for Halo 3 that can only be done online and in succession. It was clear they were unlocked out of order and offline. Earning successive online achievements out of order and offline is an impossible feat, not due to skill, but due to the technology of the system. It can only be done by modifying the account and faking the achievements."
So it's not even that the kid was super good. He (through someone else) straight up cheated.
Funny though, how in the original story, "Xbox live was his only outlet" and now that the truth has come out " it wasn't a bank password or anything big, it's just a game."
