Capcom Wants You to Vote on their Future Digital Releases

Capcom has a survey up (about 19 questions long) trying to gather information on what it's fanbase would like to see them release in their digital game space in the future, which they'll be forwarding to Capcom of Japan. It's probably worth filling out, especially for the people who can't let go of Megaman Legends 3.

All I'll say is motherfuckers better vote for a new god damn Gargoyle's Quest game, or there will be words said. Oh there will be words said. By me.

I ticked resident evil and straight ports of games i would like to see most. I left mega man unticked. You're welcome.

Wow, doing this made me realize that I don't really care about much from Capcom.

Ace Attorney and Resident Evil 2 is pretty much it.

It's funny, they ask me if Power Stone or Dino Crisis were some of my favorite franchises, but not Breath of Fire? Breath of Fire is pretty dead, isn't it?

I think it's more like Capcom Japan won't listen to Capcom US so Capcom US needs to gather hard data to make Capcom Japan listen.

Thing is, I think Mega Man games in the vein of 9, 10, Street Fighter X, and Giant Bomb X are probably the only downloadables Capcom will actually make that I'd buy digitally.

That, and proper remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, and a version of RE4 with goddamned leaderboards for the Mercenaries mode! Like, on the drop, that was the one thing that came to mind when I found out that port was happening and that there'd be leaderboards, but then they're for the stupid campaign! Like, what are you talking about? Mercenaries Mode leaderboards! Get on it!

They could probably get me to buy Street Fighter stuff on the download also, or ports of Ghosts/Ghouls & Goblins.

The fanboy in me still holds onto the hope that they'll convince Inticreates to make a new 16-bit Megaman X game in the style of the first two X games.

The rational part of me knows this will never happen in a million years.

Heh. I love that they left the Wii out of the what platforms do you own question. Power Stone and Breath of Fire! Would love to see a new BOF game! Ahhhh! Why didn't they let me pick Breath of Fire for the how likely would you be to buy section? Boooo on them!

Not an awful lot of the franchises interested me, just Street Fighter and DMC, ah well.

Kinda seems like Capcom wants to rebuild their image based off that survey.

I would love a collection of the MMX series, as well as the Legends games, and OBVIOUSLY MML3. Also, I had no idea there were 6 Battle Network games. I thought there were maybe 2. 
 
And Onimusha, for sure. A new one would be ideal, but at this point I would settle for an HD collection of the original four or something.

I asked for a new Captain Commando in the space where it said "other". The captain is long over due for a new game. I also asked for Resident Evil on Vita.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts or Power Stone for this guy.

Write-in: A do-over of RE5 and RE6 with an apology to their dwindling fan base.

A new Onimusha game sure would be swell. That and a new Dino Crisis game in the vein of Dino Crisis 2. That game was fiiiiiiine - one of the best games to be found on the PS1.

I could not tick MegaMan Legends 1&2 hard enough!

edit: funny how for Mega Man and Street Fighter, it asks "WAS it one of your favorite franchises" but for all the other franchises it asks "IS it one of your favorite franchises"

That's basically how I'd want them to handle a remake of RE2; obviously they couldn't develop and market it with the same sort of budget (equivalent to the time) as the original remake because that would only mean they'd probably have to develop it as RE5 in RE2's clothing. But if they were to 'enhance' it, with new graphics, compile all of the content across all of the different versions out there into one, throw in some additional surprises (like, maybe, the RE 1.5 build as an unlockable) and release it as a downloadable, then that could be pretty sweet.

It didn't ask me if Breath of Fire was one of my favorite Capcom franchises, but it did for Powerstone. POWERSTONE HD CONFIRMED

I really haven't trusted Capcom's ability to make a good MMX game ever since X5 hit the market and was a steaming pile, and everything since has been even worse (from both a gameplay standpoint and their attempts at expanding on the fiction.) Even X4 was only "decent" after the fantastic SNES games. So for fuck's sake, Capcom, just make Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X 2 and 3 already.

Oh, and since I probably shouldn't trust you to make a new Breath of Fire game, either, you should probably just go Square-Enix on that shit and give us some gussied-up remakes.

Unexpectedly, the most exciting thing about this survey (Aside from potential implications for Legends 3) was the prospect of some sort of RE: Outbreak rerelease or sequel, considering that it's next to impossible to play those games with others anymore. I'd love to have that opportunity.

I need an HD port of REmake. And definitely need me some new Dino Crisis.

The poll uses the word "reboot" to mean straight sequel to a classic series. I almost checked that option until I read the examples carefully. (which included Mega Man 9 and 10)

I really want the REmake treatment done for RE2. Put it out on PS3/360/PC. Also, just a new anything in the Onimusha series.

Onimusha was such a great game. The first couple anyway. I wish they would make another. I guess Devil May Cry is way more popular that it's not worth it.

Voted for more ports/remakes/new games and more mega man powered up games.

I think the reception of Resident Evil 6 was the last nail in the coffin for me. I don't care about them any more and they have a lot of work to do to change my mind (and others from the sound of it). How about a new Aladdin game while they're at it?
