Is there anyway that you can change the black to some other color? Everytime I see a site using a black background and white text I see when I look away from the monitor I see is white and black stripes. Please can you do this? Thank you.
Change the color please
I disapprove of websites using solar flare versions of White all over everything. But I guess I can't really argue that a choice between the 2, would not be a bad thing.
Check out ComicVine.com if you wanna get an early look on how the white version is gonna look like.
" Check out ComicVine.com if you wanna get an early look on how the white version is gonna look like. "Hmm that looks alright, not as blinding as some sites.
" Check out ComicVine.com if you wanna get an early look on how the white version is gonna look like. "Ah! So bright... I think I prefer it this way.
I would rather not waste my battery, consume needlessly electricity, and ruin my fucking eyes by looking at a glaring white screen.
Sounds to me like you're staring at your screen too long. I don't see stripes when I look away from my monitor. For every twenty minutes spent looking at a screen you should spend at least twenty seconds looking at something at least twenty feet away (like out a window at some trees, or the house across the street).
Oh man that's a bad sign. That's an early symptom of breast cancer. I would get myself checked if I was you
The only problem with this idea is that: The WHOLE site is black or red, with white text.
White websites look terrible and very unfinished. It'd look like they couldn't be bothered to do anything with the extra space.
Black looks clean and smooth.
White look's lazy and sloppy.
EDIT a minute after making post:
I just checked the Comic Vine site. White ain't as bad as I thought. But maybe I'm secretly a goth that's not a goth but loves the site how it is in all it's Black glory. I just think it's more visually appealing.
" @HanssenTheMighty said:I am asking this for people that wear glasses and those are color blind. People need to make sites friendly to those people that are color blind."when I look away from the monitor I see is white and black stripes."Why do you care what the website looks like when you're not looking at it? :P "
It's not the refresh rate on your screen is it? I know someone who's sensitive to so she sees weird things when she looks at the screen. That aside, I'm unsure of what you're suffering from. (Please don't take that the wrong way.)
I seen that AnimeVice has it on there Fan-Fic section of the site. I'm not sure how long it's been there, but it's there.
After months of not visiting giantbomb much as the sites colours make my eyeballs hurt, I have finally found a solutions for Chrome, the extension "Change Colors"
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/jbmkekhehjedonbhoikhhkmlapalklgn#
Ctrl-Shift-D now makes all of giantbomb black text on white like most of the websites I visit. It is just a shame it takes a third party extention to make this site eyeball friendly.
I heard Gamebomb is working on being able to change the colors of their site to every shade of grey, also they are far in the development of other great advance technologies such as Vertical Ascension Devices.
