Secret of Mana was what I played most in 1993, so I identify it with the year over the rest.
Choose your game - 1993 ed. [Poll]
SimCity 2000. That fucking game took up so much of my elementary and middle school years. Also it took me like a week of playing it to realize you had to click and hold on an icon to make the drop down menu come out, meaning I couldn't even build power plants.
Secret of Mana is a close second.
Link's Awakening - probably my favourite game of all time. I fully expect Doom to run away with this one though.
Side note: I still can't believe Kirby's Adventure came out so late, crazy stuff!
I played a tonne of King of the Monsters in the arcade, guess I wasn't playing consoles back then cause I missed pretty much everything else in the poll.
Secret of Mana for sure. I remember being super excited for it to come out, got it that Christmas and it was every bit amazing as I had hoped.
While the NHL '94 post is brilliant, there's no denying the pee trickling down my pants as I stepped into Aladdin's Castle that fateful day MKII arrived.
There was only one correct answer there and it was Sam & Max Hit the Road.
That means, at the time of writing this post, 95% of you are wrong.
Thank you for your time and understanding, and may you all correct your error in the future.

It would have to be NHL '94. It was released March of 1993 on the SNES. I'm not the biggest hockey fan, but this game was awesome.
One of the best sports games of all time, and not just because it has the Boston Bruins on the cover.
