Choose your game - 1993 ed. [Poll]

Secret of Mana was what I played most in 1993, so I identify it with the year over the rest.

1993? I was playing Shadowrun. Probably in my top ten for the SNES, if I ever decided to make that list.

Ohhhh yeah.

I was 2 years old then. I picked Kirby's Adventure.

Doom. C'mon people, it's obvious.

SimCity 2000.  That fucking game took up so much of my elementary and middle school years.  Also it took me like a week of playing it to realize you had to click and hold on an icon to make the drop down menu come out, meaning I couldn't even build power plants.
 
Secret of Mana is a close second.

Link's Awakening - probably my favourite game of all time. I fully expect Doom to run away with this one though.

Side note: I still can't believe Kirby's Adventure came out so late, crazy stuff!

I played a tonne of King of the Monsters in the arcade, guess I wasn't playing consoles back then cause I missed pretty much everything else in the poll.

Is this assuming that I was transported back to 1993 and had to choose which one to play first? Your comment in the first post means that it could be that way, or just playing them again now.

Myst. Brings back a lot of memories (even if I wasn't alive in 93 to play it).

Secret of Mana for sure. I remember being super excited for it to come out, got it that Christmas and it was every bit amazing as I had hoped.

While the NHL '94 post is brilliant, there's no denying the pee trickling down my pants as I stepped into Aladdin's Castle that fateful day MKII arrived.

Have to go with SimCity 2000. Though I didn't touch the game until 7 years after it came out, once I did was positively addicted to it for a long, long time.

Doom! No doubt about it.

I voted for Sim City 2000 over Doom only because I played that so much more.

No Flashback? Meh, chose Doom. Went mad playing it then and I'd foam at the mouth playing it now.

MKII in the arcade. That is all you need to know to choose this game. Exchanging fatalities with other dudes and throwing down dollars for games, it was perfect for a 12 year old to be involved with.
