Oh god it's not even November yet here (or it's the first wherever other fellow duders are at) and we are already talking about Christmas? Let me stuff my face with turkey first before we even get to Christmas.

It's not that people don't like Christmas stuff, it's that people would rather not start seeing Christmas stuff until December. Why? Well, because if we start going all Christmas-y long before it's time, then we'll be sick of it before it even starts.

Besides, Thanksgiving is coming. I don't know if the rest of the world does anything like it, but in America I'd rather see turkeys and falling leaves and visiting Grandma's house for an entire day and eating three times what I should, then going home and sleeping for twelve hours.

@Hizang: They started putting Christmas stuff out at the Costco where I live in late July. Trees were at the end of August, but yeah the regular decorations were out in July.

Redd White will get his hat in December, it is too early right now.

Fun facts: most large chain retailers start getting Christmas stuff in by July. You're lucky we aren't forced to put them out immediately, and just let them gather dust in the stock room.
