I thought it was interesting what Jeff and Brad said about this generation's games not having the same "leap" that previous generations have had, especially in comparison to PC games. I thought I would take a look and see just now they stack up. PC screenshots will be on the left.

I wouldn't draw comparisons based solely on screenshots. When some of these launch games supposedly run better on PC, it lessens the impact of the new consoles.

I don't have a high end PC, so everything will look amazing to me on November 15th. But when you're running at a high resolution at great framerates with settings set up high, having a new console that's meeting that standard would be more of a "good, they should" instead of "oh god, everything is incredible." Since the crew has mostly transitioned to PC, that's the perspective they seem to have.

@csl316: I did this comparison based specifically on Brad's comments that there is currently better looking stuff than the PS4/XB1 on the PC. He also mentioned that it wasn't the case last time around. I just wanted to go back and compare since I remembered Far Cry and Doom 3 looking better than any of the 360 launch games.

Framerates and resolutions have always been better on PC, that is nothing new.

I would use Cars instead of grid for the PC since this is much closer to a Forza game^^

And the only thing I really noticed that it is very easy tom compare shooter and racing games on the PC but not other types of games.

@darji: I decided against CARS because it's not due out until Q4 2014.
