With Wii Plus ready to release Nintendo is ever so close to complete domination that may last forever.

Honestly I think Wii2 will win next gen by defaut. No reason to think other wise. Wii has broke every sales record to date with no stop in sight. Now with Motion plus this only further motion controls as being the complete standard for gamers. I say this in regards to the Wii 2 HD.

By the time the Wii 2 HD hits in about 4 years or so give or take a tad. Nintendo will have refined and developed the most all around amazing motion controls ever period. And it will be accepted by everyone becuase Nintendo's big gamble with the Wii has already paid off times 10xfold.

I can not see Motion controls ever taking a back seat in gaming again. I fully expect MS and Sony to have full motion controls with there next systems at launch. But Nintendo will not be threatend they are the champs and the whole world will just go Wii for good and Nintendo will just become a super mamouth of a game company and swollow us all whole.

I also see that developers will adapt to complete and full support for the Wii 2 and make it the king of having all game first party and multiplat. Since Nintendo's gamble has paid off they will surely make the Wii 2 HD on par with top end graphics as the PS3/720. They can take that risk now becuase they no they will sell like hotcakes.

All i hope now is Nintendo just ups the game in the online for Wii 2 HD and it's CHECKMNATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: And it's not "Wii 2 HD" it's just "Wii HD" and Nintendo have already announced they are working on it, and that it will simply be an upgrade, not a brand new console.

Nintendo has been dead to me for a while now, so i don't care how many consoles they sell. I doubt it's the "gamers" buying them, atleast not without later regret.

The problem is the novelty wears off after about 30 seconds. 

Everybody owns one and nobody uses it -  the Wii is the George Foreman Grill of gaming.

First of all the Wii does not rule gaming,  99% percent of the games on it are shit.  It's a fad that your mom and grandma buy to play wii sports on, they don't buy games.
When the Wii 2 comes out the sales on it won't even be half of what the Wii's are.  Your mom and grandma already have a wii to play wii sports, why would they buy another console?

Well, first off Nintendo really isn't dominating the game industry.  They probably have the least mindshare among gamers, the Wii's lack of processing power and online system hurts, but so does Nintendo's casual gaming focus.  Developers still are focusing on 360 and PS3, mostly because Wii 3rd party games don't sell terribly well.

Nintendo has a much smaller hardware lead than Sony did during the Playstation 1 and 2 era, and everyone thought Sony would dominate the industry forever.  Nintendo is already showing signs of arrogance like Sony did during their dominating years.  I think it will be hard for NIntendo to make another Wii-like hit, simply because the mindset of the majority of Wii buyers will be 'why should I buy something new'?  Nintendo's only hope for the time being will be releasing new interations with negligable improvements like the DSi, once Wii's sales start to wane (already dropping off a bit, but it's not time yet).
