Considering buying a PS3

After Microsofts' bullshit conference yesterday, and that my 360 just red ringed, I'm looking to change where I play my games. Is this a good idea?

Well if you already have a big stack of games for the 360 you should probably just stick with it.

This generation of consoles has been out for 4 or 5 years. You can't scrape together a few hundred dollars a year?

It only does everything...on the other hand, you can also consider upgrading your PC and trading in your games.   PC versions are always cheaper.
 
BTW, the PS3 controller complaint above isn't very valid...there are Xbox-like 3rd party controllers for the PS3.

I guess it depends on how many 360 games you have, but I still find it hard to recommend buying something that is almost guaranteed to break on you.
