Anyone know if there is a reason for all the random Steam Specials? There are over 100 of them for looks like no reason.

Big Picture Mode Sale

(plus who cares about needing a reason to buy shit for cheap?!)

They are all games with controller support. Valve probably wants to encourage people to use Big Picture.

Anything jump out at anyone as worth getting? Nothing on my wishlist is at a worthwhile discount.

Tiny and Big seems reasonably priced and Wizorb as well.

Yep, Wizorb's cool; I though Tiny and Big was rather one note and very frustrating in parts.

I just decided to get it after watching the quick look just now. I love the idea behind that game at least in theory and well... You have to support what you love.

I don't think it's got any sort of discount, but by checking out Steam's website I just learned that there's a new Book of Unwritten Tales standalone DLC story thing (The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles) coming out in like 2 days! :D

I'm gonna adventure my ass off! Even if it is focused on what I felt was the weakest character in the whole game, I'm still pumped to point and click the shit out of stuff.

Edit: I also dropped like 9 bucks to get Sine Mora, Tiny & Big, and Braid. I already own Braid on XBLA, but this PC version is $2.50, I was just listening to the Bomb Squad gush over the plot in the 2009 GOTY deliberations, I forgot what happens at the end, and my Xbox is busted.

I picked up

  • Sine Mora, $3.39
  • Geometry Wars Retro Evolved, $1.00
  • Wizorb, $0.76

Can't really get a better bargain than these.

- Sine Mora

- Hell Yeah

- CS:GO

- Shank 2

-etc...

Yeah, I missed the Thanksgiving sale, so if you did too, get these.

That game has been on sale so many times that I actually only notice the game when it isn't on sale.

I'm tempted to get:

Sine More

Hell Yeah!

Tiny & Big

There shouldn't need to br a reason for Steam sales. That said, I'm just not in a game buying mood at the moment. Two finals in a row and a weekend of hard studying will do that to you.

I can't wait till it's over. I'm ready to play some damn games.

Me too, man. This Friday. Finals are over and I can waste away my Christmas break in lazy, carefree bliss, with a controller or KB/M in hand for its entirety.

I find it funny that CS:GO is discounted for a sale that's suppose to encourage controller support on Steam.

I picked up Tiny & Big, looks like a fun 3D puzzle/platformer and Wanderlust 4 pack to play with a couple friends.
