i know I did. I didnt wake up at the ass crack of dawn, but I did get some good deals. Unfortunately, I wsnt able to get Left 4 Dead 2 for 35 at best buy, for they were sold out. I did go to target and get Assassins Creed 2 with a 10 dollar gift card, and 360 controller for 39 dollars, and Batman for 37. I was thiiiiiis close to getting dragon age for 35, but opted out of it at the last moment since I have it rented at home, and am not sure if I like it yet.
I have no money to spend on Black Friday. Quite a shame. 20" monitors for $99, and Left 4 Dead 2 for $35? It might have been a good thing though, I would have gone nuts with some of those sales.
Oh, well, I can always try and have my first shopping day on Black Friday next year.
I did my shopping online, starting at around 2am. Picked up L4D2 and DAO for 35 dollars each, so now I'm done game-wise for a while, barring maybe the Saboteur.
Just bought two Magnavox Blu-ray players and the special edition of J.J. Abrams' Stark Trek. I felt that the games I would want (damn I wanted Arkham Asylum) is just not worth it for this case and post-Christmas will be better.
This is my first Black Friday and while no one got trampled, everyone was just most of the time cramped up. This is the worst day of the year.
I picked up a few things online like Left 4 Dead 2 for 30 bucks. Next year I'm saving up for a good black friday spree. I want to try out the festivities.
I actually got Forza 3 for $15 off Amazon. They were selling it for $35 and I had twenty dollars credit from ordering Modern Warfare 2 off Amazon so the total was fifteen bucks, which I paid with a Visa gift card that I had lying around. Pretty much got the game for free! :D
I thought about stopping off at Best Buy before work for Left 4 Dead 2 but decided I'd rather pay an extra $10 at Target to just get it earlier in the week... So yea I avoided the chaos!!!!
I joined. Woke up 30 minutes before opening to head to the local Gamestop, which I expected to be packed, and was one of the first ones there! I got my new 360 elite, hopefully its a japser...I haven't checked yet.
i woke up thought about going to the comic shop to grab image united, decided not to get it and went to bed. 2 minutes ago i bought it off of ebay because i wanted the spawn cover.
Odd. I went to Best Buy at like 3:00 in the afternoon and they had 20+ copies of L4D2, Brutal Legend, and Dragon Age. I should have bought another copy of L4D2, because my Dad knocked my 360 over while I was playing, and it scratched the shit out of it. It didn't even work, but I took it to a store and got it refurbed. The scratch is mostly gone, but so are a lot of in game textures, so soda machines, tarps, and a lot of other stuff just show up as blue and pink pixels. :( Kinda sucks.
Happy Black Friday from Toys R Us! It was actually quite awesome. We opened at midnight, had some problems managing the line prior to opening. I never thought I'd hear a grown man say 'You can have backsies but not frontsies'. Later we had to call the cops because one dude beat the shit out of another dude for getting the last Zhu Zhu Pet. Then I ate free subway and jerked around for 4 more hours and went home at 8.
Weirdly enough I found most of my deals on amazon. I bought The Departed, GoodFellas, Wanted, American History X, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine on blu-ray all for $55 on amazon. Than I bought Crank for $8.99 at target. I considered getting Madden 10, Left 4 Dead 2 or Dragon Age for $35 at best buy but I really need to finish playing Modern Warfare 2 so I passed on them. I also considered Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5 for $20 but passed on them for the same reason. Overall I'd say I expanded my blu-ray collection quite a bit for a reasonable price.
