A while back, a bunch of DLC for Borderlands went on sale on Xbox Marketplace. I was still playing Borderlands pretty much whenever I had a chance. I knew that Mad Moxxis' Underdome Riot wasn't supposed to be all that great, but I got it anyway. Initially killing all the enemies without getting XP didn't bug me. After wave after wave however, it started to bug the holy hell outta me. That plus the weapons storage aspect of it was totally useless to me. My fault for buying it, but oh well. At least it was on sale.
So any of you people ever bought DLC only to not like it or despise it?
DLC you regretted buying?
The second DLC for Mass Effect 1 was pretty bad. On the other hand, it let me keep my S-Rank for the game, SO I REGRET NOTHING!
Those Onechanbara costumes just because I couldn't find any else to bring my points balance to zero. I mean, what? <_<
Fallout 3's Broken Steel DLC, because the game would always freeze when I reached a certain point in the main mission, so I only got to play about a third of Broken Steel.
The last Killzone 2 map pack. Nobody was ever playing them. Probably gonna sit at 99% trophies forever now :(
The only time I buy DLC is so I can get an S-rank in that game, I actually spent 12 hours driving 1,000 miles in Jimmy's Vendetta because it would have been the only one I didn't get. So, for starters JIMMY'S VENDETTA because of its lack of story and lazy mission structure. MAD MOXXI for previously mentioned reasons. And, the BIOSHOCK 2 MAP PACK because of the lack of a lobby. At least I bought them all half off =).
Return to Ostagar for Dragon Age: Origins. It seemed like such an awesome premise, but it ended up being pretty lame.
I spent a ton on LBP Costumes, but didn't really play the game enough to justify how much I was spending. Regardless, I'm glad I supported Media Molecule.
Another one that just came to me was buying all the costumes for Super Street Fighter IV even though I use roughly 2 characters. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!
There are a few Rock Band songs I kind of wish I hadn't bought. I bought that tome book or something for Oblivion.
I know there are others, but right now I'm drawing a blank on the other items.
" The second DLC for Mass Effect 1 was pretty bad. On the other hand, it let me keep my S-Rank for the game, SO I REGRET NOTHING! "Exactly what I was gonna say. Hated it, but it got me my S rank.
" @Sleepy_Insomniac said:You can see their panties... more so. *creeper mode*" Those Onechanbara costumes just because I couldn't find any else to bring my points balance to zero. I mean, what? <_< "I don't know whether I'd rather live with an uneven amount of MSP or have my purchase history tainted with that forever. "

I noticed I forgot to put in my worst DLC. Because of my own stupidity, all of the Forza 2 DLC, because I wasn't anticipating owning the PH version less than 2 months after XBL had a sale. Because of honesty, it's gotta be the Halo 3 map packs. They all sucked, and I didn't like the game; it was a prime example of conformism which I strongly oppose.
Mad Moxxi because I can't beat it by myself, and I haven't ever been able to get through more than like one tourney. I actually do like the storage, though, because it's allowed me to keep all of the good guns I've found for playthroughs with new characters. Also General Knoxx (atm) because part of the reason I haven't been able to get shit done in the Underdome is because I installed Knoxx before beating everything else, but didn't start it, so my character is level 54, but my guns are ~level 45.
I also regret the costume packs I purchased for The Force Unleashed, because I bought a bunch of other Star Wars characters only to realize they were just reskins with no actual mods, and that I liked Starkiller's costumes better than an Obi-Wan skin. So I don't regret any packs with Starkiller costumes, just the ones without. I kind of regret buying them instead of just buying the Ultimate Sith Edition, though (how was I supposed to know it was coming out?).
I bought an alterante costume pack for Mass Effect 2 by accident. I wasn't really paying attention cause a bunch of free stuff came up too so I was just tapping A, A, down, A, A, down and before I knew it BAM costumes I never used.
Other than that though I cant not recall buying much DLC for games.
" @melcene said:Let's just go the whole way and say all the DLC for Dragon Age sans Shale. However, I bought Darkspawn Chronicles, which trumps both of your examples handily. Witch hunt is art compared to that horrible slog.Another good one (or bad one, rather?), along with Golems of Amgarrak.. fucking ew. "" Witch Hunt for DA:O. "
Probably the Soul Calibur IV Halloween costume pack. I barely used it, and I don't even own the game anymore.
" Witch Hunt for DA:O. And of course, the infamous... Horse Armor for Oblivion. "Man was horse armor in that game dumb! It wasn't even like you could use a horse in combat or anything. The person who came up with that one should be ashamed. As for a DLC I regretted buying, the Bioshock 2 multiplayer map pack simply because I had the game on PC and 2K messed up the play lists, causing you to be unable to get into a game on the new maps. They failed on that PC version on pretty much every level possible...
I bought a Battlefield Bad Company 2 theme by accident because of their screwed up in-game purchasing menu. (was trying to redeem a Dr. Pepper code)
i regret buying the golems of amgarrak for dragon age, especially since my imported character's gear was glitched so it had no texture. but mostly because your allies suck and die all the time, it was short as hell, had crappy loot, and added almost nothing to the story.
Map packs for Call of Duty 3. I doubt there was anything wrong with them, I just didn't play the game.
Also the "Wizard's Tower" for my 360 version of Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. I think I went there once. I still play the game a lot but on the PC, my GOTY edition has all the junk included.
Mothership Zeta and Operation Anchorage. I rarely ever buy DLC, but I bought all five Fallout 3 DLC items, and loved them all except those two. So boring.
