Do you consider 3/5 stars a bad score on GB?

While we don't believe any game is perfect, we recommend this game without reservation.

Still very good and easy to recommend, though it doesn't quite live up to its full potential.

This game will make you wish you had died in a fire moments before turning it on.

No I consider that average.

I consider 5 stars a worse score.  They might as well put "This game is overhyped and you will inevitably be let down by it because you'll think it's the best game ever before having played it."

It's an alright score, that will interest people interested in that game, but for everyone else it will probably be just a rent.

Average, usually they have a significant flaw or two that I'd rather not deal with.

Play if found cheap, else avoid.

I wouldn't necessarily buy it immediately but it looks solid.

Like everyone else has said, I think it means just average.

It seems to imply that the game is very average, but if you are interested in the game's premise that you should still be able to enjoy it.

3 stars here to me means okay, and still playable and enjoyable.

I see 5 star ratings as: 1-Crap, 2-It's Okay, 3-Pretty Good, 4-Good, 5-Great

Well, I would actually read the review, decide whether the good/bad things are okay and if I will enjoy the game anyway.  If I'm still not sure, I will go to IGN, etc. or I will take it to youtube, watch video reviews and gameplay footage and other miscellaneous stuff about it.
