I get bummed when I look down and don't see my legs
Do you get annoyed in FPS where you can't look down and see your legs?
Yes! When I look down I can see from shoulder to shoulder and all the way down to my feet. Only two games have got that right: Mirror's Edge (Duh) and Ghost Recon:Advanced Warfighter. (The PC version, by GRIN of all developers.) I want this to become common in FPSs.
I will admit that when I get a new FPS, the first thing I do is look down to see if I can see myself.
Naw, it doesn't bother me either way. I always thought it was neat in Halo 2 and 3 when you could see your legs, but it's not a necessary feature. I'd rather not see them than have them look stupid and move awkwardly.
No, but I don't really play many FPSs. Does Mirror's Edge count? Cause you could see your legs in that one.
I don't really care about not seeing my legs in a FPS since I shouldn't be looking down but, when I can see my legs... I get annoyed when I can't shoot myself in the leg...
Yeah, it annoys me.
Also annoying:

Yeah it really does. We're in 2010 now, the floating eyeballs must go away. All first person games should offer me the same level of immersion as Mirror's Edge by this point. You don't necessarily need to be that agile, but that game, despite its many flaws, really made me feel like I was running around on rooftops and I can't for the life of me understand why more games don't.
F.E.A.R and its sequel are about the only games [I played] that have tried to make the first person experience cool.
