Yes! When I look down I can see from shoulder to shoulder and all the way down to my feet. Only two games have got that right: Mirror's Edge (Duh) and Ghost Recon:Advanced Warfighter. (The PC version, by GRIN of all developers.) I want this to become common in FPSs.

I will admit that when I get a new FPS, the first thing I do is look down to see if I can see myself.

No because there are plenty of games I've enjoyed without being able to. Generally I don't spend the game staring at the ground so it doesn't matter too much. It can be a nice feature though.

No, but I was playing these games when you couldn't even look down.

Doesn't matter to me in the slightest. Except in a game like Mirror's Edge, I guess.

It doesn't bother me in most games, but it bothers me in Bioshock 2.

It doesn't annoy me, but I definitely prefer being able to see my feet. I think the first game I played where I could do that was Halo 2, and it seemed like such an amusing novelty, like it had never occurred to me that that could even happen.

Naw, it doesn't bother me either way. I always thought it was neat in Halo 2 and 3 when you could see your legs, but it's not a necessary feature. I'd rather not see them than have them look stupid and move awkwardly.

its nice to have in a game, but it doesnt bother me if its not in there.    i do want my shadow to be in the game though. i think we are at a point in gaming where we can figure out how to put shadows into the game for more than just everybody else

Not at all. Though in scenes such as the Coup in MW1; it felt weird not seeing your own legs on the seats in the car.

No, but I don't really play many FPSs. Does Mirror's Edge count? Cause you could see your legs in that one.

I don't really care about not seeing my legs in a FPS since I shouldn't be looking down but, when I can see my legs... I get annoyed when I can't shoot myself in the leg...

As long as my character doesn't have legs I'm just fine with it. Teehee.

Yeah it really does. We're in 2010 now, the floating eyeballs must go away. All first person games should offer me the same level of immersion as Mirror's Edge by this point. You don't necessarily need to be that agile, but that game, despite its many flaws, really made me feel like I was running around on rooftops and I can't for the life of me understand why more games don't.
F.E.A.R and its sequel are about the only games [I played] that have tried to make the first person experience cool.

Thats blew my mind in Halo 2. Really helped out in CO-OP when you got separated, just shot myself until I spawned next to my teammate.

What a petty gripe.  No, it's not an issue for me.

I only find it odd in certain situations like Meteora mentioned. Otherwise it's not too bad.

It doesn't bother me, however, it's a nice thing to have.
