Do you want to keep the GB video bumper?

I know for some of you it's going to seem silly, but that graphic and chord is like a cornerstone of this site, at least for me. 4 years that thing has been around. It's pleasant to the ears. At the very least, if they do change it, they should keep the sound or just change it up a little bit so that it's still recognizable but more awesome. The graphic I guess I can part with.

I think it depends on how awesome the new bumper would be.

It's one of the only things I can hear in my head straight away. All I have to do is think of the logo and it's like "Bwah-Dun". I don't know how I'd feel if they took it away.

I like it just fine. As long as a new one wouldn't be longer or more obnoxious though, I guess I wouldn't care if they changed it up.

Pretty much this. It would be weird to hear another tune after all these years. Besides, it lasts, what, 5 seconds? I can't see how anyone would ever have a problem with it.

A new one would be cool cause new stuff is cool...

But I do love the old one a whole lot. It's iconic.

i don't know what a bumper is so i don't know. is that the little video intro thingy? if so, i wouldn't mind if it stayed. i'm not sure how i'd feel if it was replaced.

Karen to do the new voice over for it.

i miss the alternate pictures, like... "video review".

but i still like the style and sound effects. maybe they could redesign the background a bit.

As iconic as the oId/current one is, I'm ready for something fresh.

"Bwah-Dun" is such a poor representation of that sound that I'm not sure you're even on the correct website.

I think they should replace the bumper with a really loud commercial. The same really loud commercial.

The sound is what matters to me, not the graphic. So, if they can maintain the sound but change the graphic, it's fine with me.

It's like the bootup sound Macs make or a THX test at the beginning of a film. At this point, I can hardly imagine watching a Giant Bomb video without it.

I'd be for a new bumper!

I would be very angry for about a week if they changed it.

Unlike a lot of things that have happened to Giant Bomb this year, I have no strong opinion either way on this.

If it's not broke, why fix it?

Can't help feeling a little attached to the audio, wouldn't find if the image was updated though. Either way, I trust you guys to shepherd design on the right path.

I say keep it. If it aint broke don't fix it.

I like the current one but wouldn't really care if they switched it.

It doesn't really matter to me.

It is most definitely time for a change. Those bumpers don't really match any other visual themes across the site anymore.

It is the most iconic thing on Giant Bomb besides the bomb itself.

At this point, it's difficult for me to even imagine what watching one of their videos without the bumper would be like, so it's very difficult for me to actually have an opinion on the matter. For me at least, the current bumper has gotten to a state where I don't even notice it's there, whereas I would probably notice any revised bumper every time, which could probably get pretty annoying, at least for a short while.

I've got no problem with the bumper the way it is now, but if they changed it, it wouldn't take long new thing to get ingrained into my head the same way. Just like whenever they change the bombcast theme.

Hell yes, buh dum is like the Law and Order noise. If Law and Order didn't have that noise, well, it just wouldn't have been Law and Order.

Edit: You know what, maybe a new background, but keep the noise.
