I do this all the time, usually when im eating. If i had four arms like Goro i think i would play Dirt 2 at the same time as eating though. But lucky for Giantbomb i don't
Do you watch quick looks for games your not even interested in?
Time has taught me to never underestimate the GB crew's ability to turn boring games into entertaining videos.
" Time has taught me to never underestimate the GB crew's ability to turn boring games into entertaining videos. "Exactly. I really don't know whos eagerly awaiting the next Wii Game Show adaptation yet people still seem to watch those QLs.
Of course those are the best kinds. I actually tend to not watch the ones im interested in so as not to spoil anything.
I usually do but the length can kill it for me. For instance the recent Dungeon Siege III Quick Look was boring to me. Mostly because I am not interested in the game but it didn't help that the thing was an hour long.
That being said, I don't dislike long quick looks, I loved the Sims 3 Quick Look. Also, I had no idea what Gemini Rue was and for about two days I stayed away from it because the screenshot on the video didn't look all that interesting. When I finally got around to watching it I felt silly for ignoring this game because it turned out to be incredible.

I watch every single one they do and have rewatched 90% of them multiple times. Every so often I feel like going through them all again, savoring the funny moments. Of course, there are some I skip every time, like that Story Time game, but for the most part, I watch each one again.
" It's how I can get interested in a game that I wasn't interested in before. "Yep, on occasion it has completely turned me onto a game that otherwise wouldn't even be on my radar. Also people always love witty banter.
Voting in the poll changed my colour scheme on the page for some reason. Weird!
I watch Quick Looks for games I'm not even interested in because I have nothing to lose:
Sure, I don't own a Wii or a Kinect and some of those are the best Quick Looks around. You never know what gold nugget of comedy is going to rise from some obscure title you'll never ever buy or play. Quick Looks don't have to be just informative, they're also entertaining. Look at Rogue Warrior.
Seen every QL that has been put out since the beginning of this year and let me tell ya, being caught up with the content leaves me wanting more no matter what the game.
When possible. I've had more and more trouble with videos on GB for every year. Even though I have 100mbit internet (and use 300mbit wireless-n with full reception) when using progressive settings it stops after about 1/5-1/3 of the video and refuses to load in more of the content. When using streaming it stops as well a bit in and I have to reload the page and try sometimes several times. The Theatre mode seems to work the best, it sometimes freezes for a few seconds but can usually continue after that however some videos always crash in the Theatre player (like TNT videos, they always crash at start up for some reason).
I don't know if this is a problem on my end, but I use other sites just fine even when watching hour long video clips and even if they freeze I can just pause and unpause and they work again.
I generally watch all quick looks. If its a game I know of, have no interest in and think will make for a boring quick look I sometimes skip it... but even then I usually end up watching it for the commentary.
Always. If the game looks particularly dull, I'll save it for a rainy day, but Quick Looks are all about the commentary for me and less about the game itself. That's why I didn't mind when all Brad could talk about was Starcraft 2 (a game I have little interest in) for about a month on the Bombcast... the banter was still gold.
