I buy gamesTM every so often for it's adult multiformat coverage and features, (if I'm passing a newsagents). And I have a Bad habit of still picking up Games Master Magazine as it's a throwback to my childhood. Even though it now sucks!

I have to add that Nintendo Magazine System/The Nintendo Official Magazine UK NOMUK was a great mag back in the day! (1993-99 era)

I have a subscription to EGM and I plan to subscribe to Gamepro. Something about having a magazine to archive the time that games were at like how I used to read OPM every month.

Paying for add-riddled media makes me feel used and dirty.  I will pay either pay for adless content, or get it free with ads.   As result, I refuse to subscribe to magazines, cable tv, and xbox live gold.

I read EDGE cause I live in the UK and the slightly more industry focused angle they take is really interesting. The editorials are always top notch and they do great features.

This is exactly what I wanted to write, Edge is a really great magazine.
I read Edge when I was a lot younger and was put off for that reason. Maybe it was because I was so young but the industry focused angle put me off at the time when I wanted lots of reviews and nice images. I used to love reading ONM (Official Nintendo Magazine) back in the day, even though it was so biased. It gave Red Steel like 85% or something.

I subscribed to EGM when it re-launched, but now Patrick works here instead so... yeah.

No, I don't buy mags anymore.

No. Because these magazines have websites. Gameinformer show is a great podcast btw. I already subscribe to whiskey media which has some of the most entertaining in-depth reviews and articles around.

50 or so cents per magazine (thanks to magazine deal websites) really isn't so bad so Game Informer gets my thumbs up and I'm signed on 'til 2014 or '15. I suggest others to keep an eye out for them. I usually only read it on the can though.

I've had a subscription to Game Informer for several years now. They may be slow to report on news (which you can't really blame them for, since they release on a monthly schedule) but they have great cover stories and other content.

I get Game Informer. It's nice to have a hardcopy in my hands sometimes, and they have interesting articles every once in a while.

Game informer, I still like the occasional hard copy magazine. Also I got a subscription when I bought a "Platinum" membership that I have only used once.... oh well the Mass effect 3 and Assassins Creed Revelations copies I have gotten so far are pretty legit.

The last mag I remember getting was Gameinformer - that was the MGS3 Snake Eater issue where they had all the screen shots and the letter that said BIGBOSS in it, before we even knew what the game was.

Thats a long ass time ago...

I stopped quite some time ago, there's no point in buying something to get information I can get for free on the internet. And unlike on the magazines are actually "true" and not as influenced by the gaming industry and money.

I did subscribe to Game Informer, but let that subscription run out a bit ago. I honestly don't see the point anymore, news breaks on the internet before the magazine gets to me and I only looked at the pictures anyway.

Nope, haven't bought one in years. Cost £5 and about 30% of the magazine was advertisements. It also basically (like most major gaming websites today) acted as PR. So, advertisements, advertisements e.t.c....

I think I finally stopped my GamePro subscription somewhere around last year. It was kinda sad, but I didn't even read them when they came in...since you know...the internet. I get my Game Informer's and usually don't read them either. Only reason I still get them is because of the GameStop discount card.

I used to, but then the attitude of the magazine staff just turned sour, I no longer agreed with most of their opinions and at times I even felt insulted by how they expressed themselves. Needless to say I stopped paying for that garbage.

Giant Bomb is my only source of gaming news at the moment, I don't have time to check out other sites.

I have stopped reading all magazines except for EDGE because I like their editorials and articles. They also write reviews in a way that speak to me.

I used to read the swedish game magazine Level but not anymore. Don't know why. I found Edge and thought they was better and it may also be a economic reason since I don't have as much money to spend right now on magazines as I did 4-5 years ago.

EDIT: I would subscribe to Game Informer if I had they money in the same way I would subscribe to Gold here on Giant Bomb. Game Informer get's cool cover stories of big games so that's make them worth a lot. I also used to subscribe to EGM for a 2-3 years before they closed down. I did that mainly because through the 1UP.com:s network of podcasts I found the editorial to be really cool people with opinions and perspectives that resonated with me.

I liked reading EDGE, but the (somewhat shoddily translated) German run was cancelled all the way back in 2007. But the idea of a Giant Bomb magazine for like two or three bucks a month sounds interesting (as e-book or pdf or something).

I used to read a bunch but since this generation of consoles I've pretty much stopped. EDGE has the best articles hands down. They actually know how to write editorials and pieces that have insight. Their reviews though, I never really cared for.
