I was wondering because I am under 17 and I bought a CD from Best Buy that had the parental advisory label.

I bought Resident Evil 4 last year from Best Buy and I was 16, but I knew the cashier. Knew her too well . . . know what I mean?

Talk to the clerk. I highly doubt it's anyone's company policy to sell under the advised age restriction.

Depends on the person selling it.
The one closest to me always asks for ID.

They are not supposed to sell to minors. However, I'm sure some slip through.

The one buy me always asks if I'm above 17 -- obviously I'm not, but the fact is it depends who is at the register.

there is a difference between a minor and a 17 year old.
Im a minor, but i can legally buy an M rated game, because im 17. Get it?

But, Best Buy should check. You can always get lucky though.

No, they don't, officially. They ask about 99% of the time. But one time I couldn't find my dad when I was standing at the register, so I started calling his cell and he wasn't picking up. The cashier got impatient and said that it was ok. Then my dad showed up.

I suggest trying that tactic, without your parents of course.

My bf is a cashier at best buy and if he doesn't ID he gets written up. It just depends on how strict your store is about that kind of stuff.

Yea, it depends on the clerk and store.  I've bought a lot of games M rated when I was under 18; in fact, when clerks ask me for my ID nowadays it kind of throws me off guard.  I'll be like "Why do you want to see my... oh right, M rating."
