For those of you who don't know Australia is the only developed country in the world that doesn't have an R18+ rating for video games. This is due to the fact that the federal government has turned law making over to the states. This means that each states attorney-general must vote in favor of a new law, or it doesn't get passed.
Michal Atkinson, the South Australian attorney-general has consistently campaigned against an R18+ rating for games in Australia. Well yesterday morning he stepped down from the position, hopefully this means that in the near future we won't be getting any more Jet in out Fallout (If you know what I mean). He also branded gamers worse than bike gangs, although considering what one idiot did, I can kind of see his point.

Yeah, I think we've heard. Michael Atkinson quits as SA Attorney-General
No biggie, you weren't the only one to create a thread for this topic when one was already about. Australians: Rejoice! Usually, the mods try and keep things like this corralled to one thread so everyone can get their say and not have to repeat themselves in 4 or 5 different threads. Good news for you guys down under. Let's see if it makes a difference, though.
" Yeah, I think we've heard. Michael Atkinson quits as SA Attorney-General "I politely request all of you head on over to that topic as it has extensive discussion on the subject. Thanks! :)
