It seems like they don't want the license anymore.

Everybody now needs to nag Sega about getting the NASCAR license, so they can finally make Daytona USA. Maybe get Image Space, Inc. to do a sim racer, too. 'Cmon, Sega, this is the best chance to get a new Daytona USA off the ground. Nagoshi can't be doing Yakuza games forever, you know...

Sega would be the perfect fit for the license since their racing games are generally solid.

And Daytona USA was pure arcade awesomeness.

The recent EA NASCAR games? Yeah, you're right. There are better ones- NASCAR Racing 2003 Season from Sierra was-and still is- highly regarded amongst fans of the sport.

NASCAR hasn't had a good game since Sierra had NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. Sierra than lost it's life to Activision.

I truly hope that EA is losing the license, however I'm not sure if SEGA and a Daytona USA (sim version) game would be a good fit. I want a Nascar sim game, not an arcade one. However if SEGA decided to bring out an arcade version of Daytona USA again I would be all for it!
