every time there is a movie (theatres) with a major actor, I always see another with that actor on tv. Is that what tv is coming to, a giant marketing campaign for other movies.

I just saw Grease and I think its because John Travolta's movie is out.

TV stations get to show movies cheaper that way, and if the movie is famous, it means higher ratings, cheaper. Which means more income from the adverts during that program. Which means more money.

We're in a recession, nobody is immune.

You can catch Grease on damn near anytime of the year, it's a classic.  And yes, television is a giant marketting campaign, hence the commercials every 10 minutes.

Grease is always showing on TV. It's never not showing.
