Ex-Midway Games majority shareholder Sumner Redstone and his daughter, former Midway chair Shari Redstone, have been subpoenaed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Massachusetts amidst questions regarding the sale of the Chicago-based games publisher to investor Mark Thomas.

Full Story

Definetly a interesting development, if they do indeed find wrong doing Midway is able to swoop in and basically say "Hey this sale did indeed screw us over, help us out?" or something along those lines.

This is interesting, and perhaps stupid on the part of the ex-sharholder.

Definitely interesting...

...but it's more interesting that Midway thinks they are worth staying in business.  =  /

Ignoring your opinion, this was not filed by Midway but the creditors Midway owes money to.

This has had shady written all over it from Day One, Thomas pulling $30 million after paying $100k for the debt, and then filing for Chap 11?  So shady, this just seems blatant in it's attempt to screw the companies who Midway owes money to by filling Thomas' pockets in the process.

I have little to add that pertains to the topic, per say, but I love "subpoenaed" in the same way I love "bologna." Words that are spelled entirely counter intuitively, so that their pronunciations do not resemble how they should ever be phonetically interpreted, always make me giggle inside.

Not much to add. There's definitely some shady business going on here... that, or someone, somewhere, has been very very stupid.

...possibly both.

Imagine what would happen if Midway's creditors win, the Redstone empire would crumble! Peachtree TV would finally acquire BET instead of trying to be them!
