Just curious as to everyones thoughts on to what form we will hopefully/eventually/maybe see the long delayed title. Ps4 launch title? PsVita game? (Obscenely) late cycle ps3 release? I just dont know anymore...
Fate of "The Last Guardian"?
I gave up on it ages ago. A shame too because the game looks SO good, but who knows maybe I might get surprised and it will finally get a release date?
I'd have to guess that's it's being pushed to the next PlayStation. The same with Versus XIII which might be renamed.

Although I never really followed TLG, I'd like to think that this is the fate of the game (along with Versus XIII). Who knows? It might be totally awesome.
The Last Guardian is still alive; check this incredibly detailed timeline (which is still up to date).
Still, while the game ain't really dead, there's no harm in pretending that it is; you might be pleasantly surprised one day.
@Inkerman: was that some kind of meta commentary on the awefullness of the one liner? Cause it kind of seems that way.
It will come eventually although for what Sony platform could still be decided, will it be a very late PS3 game or an early PS4 game to get more early adopters buying a PS4.
They are holding an event on February 20th for the sole reason of announcing this games release date and showing a new trailer.
You know, this made me realise that "Fate of the Last Guardian" is actually a better name than just "The Last Guardian".
Playstation 4 game, like Shadow of the Colossus it was too ambitious for it's own hardware, every bit of gameplay showed great graphics but a terrible framerate. I'd say it will be a PS4 launch title
Oh shit. Guys, I think I just figured out what that event on Feb 20th is about...
But seriously though, I can't tell if that'd be anticlimactic, awesome, or both.

Shadow of the Colossus
Began development in 2002.

In 2012, Sony affirmed the game was still under development, and later, at Gamescom, explained that while they at one point had the game in a playable state, some technical issues arose, and they have had difficulty in resolving those before releasing the title. Sony's Shuhei Yoshida has stated that committing to a 2013 release is unsure, as they are afraid of "disappointing many people" as they had done before with earlier release date estimates.

And it wouldn't be the first time they made a game for one console, only to port in to the next generation of hardware in the middle of development. They have the nickname of being the Olympic team for there 4 year development time, so missing it by a year or so isn't so bad for them.

I think that if there ever were an opportunity to see that game again it'll be on 2/20.
The second of the 20th month? a.k.a never, good one!

This is exactly what I'm thinking. If sony wants people to lose their shit, they would show gameplay of this game on 2/20 along with (but probably not) FF Versus 13 (renamed as something else). Just reveal that all of the games that we thought were dead, are actually launch titles for PS4.

A couple months back they sent some of the God of War programmers over to Japan to try and fix it.
I know it has no basis in reality, but this just makes me think of the developers sitting down to look at the game and wondering why the boy isn't some rage-fueled, bloodthirsty lunatic hellbent on destroying the guardian creature.
