1. Kyntt+Knytt Stories

2. To the Moon

Most Indie games I've played I loved wholeheartedly. They all deserve a place in my heart.

#5 Edited by Panchos (15 posts) -

Knytt is great, but never tried To the moon, Will check.

#6 Posted by mosespippy (4032 posts) -

Limbo, Every Day The Same Dream and Where is My Heart? are my favourites but I've probably spent 20X more time playing minecraft than those three combined.

#7 Posted by Panchos (15 posts) -

Obviously Minecraft is my fav, but will check out any posted in this thread

Wizorb - hard as hell breakout style game with and interesting RPG aspect

Dungeons of Dremor - fantastic roguelike which is fairly accessible and humorous to boot

Frozen synapse - its a turn based tactics game with a pretty unique look to it, the multiplayer is exhilarating, essentially you and your opponent queue up moves which then execute at the same time, meaning not only are you trying to get in the best position on your move but reading the opponents next move too, when you pull it off its an incredible feeling, when you make a mistake and lose your dudes, you know its your fault.

Desktop Dungeons is a good one to check out.

I know all big things must start of small, but that doesn't change the fact that I don't like any indie games lololol

1. Hotline Miami

2. The Void

3. Binding of Isaac I guess (I'd say Analogue: A Hate Story or Cinders but visual novels)

#21 Posted by Nodima (1102 posts) -

I'm interested in a ton but I can't really be convinced to spend money on them, partly because I run a Mac so I have to wait for PS3 versions of most of them. Off the top of my head...

1. Journey

2. Slime Volleyball

3. Hotline Miami Quick Look (cheating, sure)

as you can see, my experience with indie games is, like, zeeero.

#22 Posted by Zekhariah (697 posts) -

1. Bastion

2. Orcs Must Die

3. Quell Reflect

I'm sure the indie-ness of a few of those could be disputed though, since they were put out by a heavy duty type publisher. First 2 are mostly a tie here.

Surely a game published by Sony isn't considered independent, right?

why wouldn't it be? It was developed by a small team

Eighteen people? Also, I'm not sure how a 'small team' relates to being independent of a publisher.
